This is Bare Bones BUT Solidly built.
you cant open a coffee house with this machine, but you can make coffee drinks as good as any coffee house!

This is a Fiat Cinquecento not the Ferrari Enzo.

The only complaint I would have had about this machine a year ago is that the steam wand is confusing to assemble and prone to make hot milk explode in your face, but now I am wishing I had spent the money on something else. The no-drip function has conveniently evolved into a non-stop-drip function. It's not worth the mess. Just save your money for a better machine.

I bought one of these in 2003, and have been making about two double-shots a day since then. This machine produces rich, thick espresso with good crema.

It is designed to be easily serviceable by the user. The manual explains how to take apart the pieces that typically get dirtiest. I do a thorough cleaning once a year.

Unlike many of the "Skymall" type machines that sell for thousands of dollars at kitchen stores, this machine is simple, rugged, and built to last. Be sure to pair it with a grinder that is designed for espresso.

bought this as a replacement for previous gaggia, works just as well as the last and in the color i wanted, the last one lasted twelve years and at a latte a day thats almost fourteen thousand dollars saved, sorry starbucks!! hope this one lasts as long.
