The Gaggia Syncrony is a fully digital system that provides some of the most sought after features: digital display, programmability, bypass doser, adjustable doser, temperature control and to a lesser extent the electronically heated cup warmer. The large drip tray has more room for all size cups and the new Euro-silver color will fit into any color scheme. At the touch of a button it grinds whole beans, doses, tamps, and extracts authentic espresso complete with a thick, golden crema. The used coffee grounds are automatically ejected into an internal dump box. The built-in grinder is adjustable for a finer or coarser grind. The bypass doser can be used for preground decaf. Includes a 7g coffee measuring scoop, grinder cleaning brush & brew group key!

My bottom line for buying this particular model is that the water container lifts out to the side (or top), so I can take it to the sink, rinse, fill and replace it without moving the (heavy) machine from under the cabinets. It also swivels, making filling water or beans very convenient. This machine makes a great cup of coffee or espresso! The frother is a pain, I find it much easier to use my little hand frother right in my mug and then let the machine dump coffee right in. I asked around, everybody says their espresso machine frothers are a pain, no matter what brand they have, so I bought this one anyway, and I do not regret it!

I bought this espresso machine 2 years ago, it has been excellent. I would highly recommend and will buy another Gaggia when the time comes. It does require some regular maintenance, but nothing difficult. Keep it clean and it will keep giving you great coffee for years. I imagine that our machine has already served over 2000 coffees/espressos.
