Product Features

  • Organize your books into unique categories on your Kindle Fire
  • Open your books and read directly from the app
  • Color-code your books and organize by title, author, or most recent

Product Description

Expand the capabilities of your Kindle Fire by organizing your books into your own unique / user-defined categories such as mysteries, thrillers, science fiction, and more: you define the categories. Gone are the days of endlessly searching the book carousel on the Kindle Fire for the next book you want to read – if you’re looking for a particular genre, category, or author (just to name a few) you can quickly get to the book and start reading vs. wasting time on an endless search!

Users can take it one step further and color-code the book’s spine not only for visual appeal on your Kindle Fire’s bookshelf, but to further classify or define your own filing system – you are only limited by your own imagination! Also, you can edit each book’s data and add page / location numbers for last page read, make notes, change the bookshelf color-coding, and more! Please note due to limitations in the Fire reader software, you will need to either bookmark your last page read or enter (within the app) the last location read when you are done reading for the session.

It’s pretty simple: classify your books into your own categories and launch your book directly from the app and start reading. Once you are ready to put your book down, you can easily note your last page / location read. You can quickly scan your bookshelf to see the last page read or go back to the Edit Book Data screen to retrieve your last page read and pick right back up where you last finished.

With the release of version 6.03 (this release), you can now backup your collections and automatically restore them in case you have a system crash, accidentally delete the app, etc.

PLEASE NOTE: this app only categorizes the books physically stored on your Fire and NOT the Cloud!

5.0 out of 5 stars Collections Finally! November 30, 2012
Verified Purchase
A sincere Thank You to the Developer of this App!
This App is more than Wonderful! I purchased it last night and now my entire Library (almost 600 books) is now organized!
I wanted to let every one know that It Works! I read all the reviews, Good and Bad but decided to try it anyway. There is another app of this type available but had some of the same issues listed here and after reading some of the "Updated" reviews on this app decided to try this one first.
I was a bit skeptical because it was a paid app. If an app is free and doesn't work, nothing lost, just uninstall it. This "app" has made my Kindle Fire the Tool I had expected it to be. I saved for months to buy it and hours trying to figure out where the "Collections" feature was. I was not just disappointed, I was Angry that the developers of the Kindle Fire would leave out the most important "Feature" any Library has to have.

Well until last night I was ready to sell my Kindle Fire because I had gotten so frustrated looking through my Reading Material. This "app" saved it.

I had one "Force Close" happen but it opened right back up and I continued on making my new categories.

★ This *App* DOES NOT COME with a TUTORIAL! ★
Hope the following is helpful

1. Since this is a 3rd party "app" it will not record your location automatically but when you close your book you can record the location you were reading in the "Edit Book Data" that pops up when you close the book.
★Or ~ Pick your book in this app then find it in your "UNORGANIZED" Library, move it to your "Favorites" and read from the kindle application.

5.0 out of 5 stars All problems Resolved-UPDATED Dec 2012 October 31, 2012
By Oakley

UPDATE Dec 2012.
All glitches have been fixed. Added features such as the ability to alphabetize categories has been used and appreciated. I have over 200 books installed. There have been no further Force Closes. I did have to uninstall and then reinstall the new updated version. My books are no longer being duplicated every time I open the app. This app has made it easy to add and find the book I am looking for. I think this app deserves a 5 star rating-it now does all I want it to without problem!

Making new category it shuts down with a Force Close.
have hit the FC button numerous times-restarted my Kindle Fire time and time again with no positive results. The app will not reopen. Are we the beta tester's? Is this fixable? I would rather have a workable app than my money back.
UPDATE: Angela in her review noted that it did a FC when she used punctuation marks in her category names. That struck a bell with me as I attempted to use a hyphIen in Non Fiction and then could never open it again. I thought that's my problem. I uninstalled and then reinstalled. For the past 2 hours I have been attempting to put all my books in order and I am happy to say there have been no further problems. I should have known you don't use punctuation marks with computers, smacking self in forehead. I am loving this app. I do wish I could alphabetize my categories. I know you can alphabetize the books but I can't find how to alpha the categories unless I remove and start over
So this has at least solved my problem. Thank you Michael for your quick address to the problem.

1.0 out of 5 stars Deficiency not mentioned in product description January 16, 2013

It's a lovely app. Simply lovely. I spent about 5 hours organizing my 750+ books into collections. Then I realized I was missing about 250 books purchased somewhere else other than Amazon. These books are listed in my Kindle content. But this product will only work with content bought from Amazon! And they won't tell you this in the description! I would love to use this app, but it ignores 25% of my library. That's just too much to work around.

5.0 out of 5 stars UPDATE new app issue October 31, 2012
Verified Purchase
After multiple force close notices, uninstalls and reinstalls I noticed that the force close happened every time when I was making/naming my categories and included ANY punctuation mark that it would force close. On the last attempt I named all categories without punctuation and have placed more than 200 books without a force close. I do hope there are updates soon to fix the problems, but I am much happier with the app now than I was when I first purchased it. I have faith that all will be worked out, we really needed this app. It should have been included in the kindle itself.

UPDATE. Still working great and I am very happy with it. Thank you!

5.0 out of 5 stars Necessary fix for the only problem I have with my Fire! December 24, 2012
Verified Purchase
1. My husband sat on my previous Kindle. We are still married because he then bought me a Fire. The Fire is a great device EXCEPT for the fact there is no way to organize books. My old Kindle had "Collections" - so I simply assumed I would have to read the Users Manual until I found it. Okay ... many frustrating hours later I realized I would need to buy an app to get this basic feature. This is AMAZON'S PROBLEM; not this app's. Some consumer reviewers don';t seem to get this!

2. Reviews. The ones I read before buying this app looked evenly divided between "good" and "bad". I bought it anyways because it was the only thing available! I encourage buyers to check the date reviews because the app has been tweaked and revised. The newest version has worked very well on my 7" non_HD Kindle Fire.

3.Ive used this app every day now for over a month and definitelyd recommend it to serious readers. The app is straightforward and the author's blog has posted detailed directions/pix. Books you have already will need to be hand-added to your categories - which is initially some work. But once installed the app then cans for new books and you just tap them to either open and read, or to save and categorize later. You can custom-design your own book cover color scheme, e.g., I use Edit to mark book spines in blue for 5-star books, red, etc.

4. The only awkward feature (which the author openly admits)is that the app cannot "remember" where you were last reading, so you have to tap it and note the last page. This has not been a problem for me.

5.Blog. Michael Gallager's blog/review of free books and Amazon daily deals comes with the app.He picks out 4-8 books at a time and provides a synopsis, star rating based on x customers, and category ( romance, thriller).

Limit on number of shelves??
Hi -

It would appear Amazon snuck in a software update for the Fire last week, but they didn't bother telling the app developer community (a) what they were doing, or (b) they made a change. We're working on it.

Regards,

Michael

Doe7 that's the same thing mine is doing also. I even deleted them all separately and they still are scanned in the next time. I thought maybe I was the only one having this difficulty. Hope there is a quick fix.

I agree. I am trying to set things up, but have questions. For example, is there a limit on number of "shelves " that can be created?
