9 out of 10 - Gain Ground on the Sega Genesis is a silent hit. One of the most addicting games I've ever had the pleasure to play. In this game you have to move forward, save friends, and Gain Ground. I had never heard of this game and a friend asked me at a party if I wanted to play. I hesitated but said sure and spent the next few hours screaming in frustration and rejoicing in little victories. This game isn't for the casual gamer or someone who's known for throwing controllers. Extremely Difficult but not impossible. Needs to be mastered through hours of gameplay. It's a hard to find game and is well worth (in my opinion) $20. Better then most next-gen games, Gain Ground is a great reminder of how difficult, addicting, fun, and rewarding old school games truely are.
Side note: A friend of mine went to Plano from Austin just to buy this game.

Gain Ground is no doubt an arcade game. Everything, from the stats to the game screen tells you it is.
The goal is to kill all the enemies scattered in the level by shooting at them. The game also contains real-time strategy elements, so beware of the arrows aimed at you. So...yeah. All you do is move around and shoot. There isn't really anything much to say about this game, but it's really addicting and I think you should buy it if you're a die-hard arcade fan.

Yup, I agree with the others that this game could be addictive. All I'm gonna say that after all these years Gain Ground is still a good game, especially to play with friends around! Honestly, I love classic(Sega Genesis)games that to this day I still play them. As a Collector, overall I give it an A+.
