The best book yet for taking on and coping with losses of all kinds. Very sound in doctrine and scripture. "Gaining through Losing" lets one put self aside and see the purpose of God in your life for every loss. Giving up what one thinks he needs may sometimes be the best thing for you. This book helps one move from one spiritual level to one a little higher with Jesus as leader. It helps the believer realize that certain changes(losses) are just their ticket to a better life in Christ Jesus.

This book is well named. It has helped me many times over the years I have owned it. You really can gain spiritual good things out of trials and disappointments. Life hurts. It is definitely a Romans 8:28 book. I buy it whenever I know someone going through unusual or extended pain and trials as I know it will comfort them, encourage hope and help them overcome.
