About the Author

Karen Jean Matsko Hood and her husband are the parents of twelve children and adopted/foster children. They make their home on their farm in eastern Washington State where they breed Icelandic Horses and Icelandic Sheepdogs. Among her other pursuits, Ms. Hood is a court advocate for the rights of abused and neglected children. She is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Leadership Studies at Gonzaga University.
