Very good dark roast, great value,

This coffee is a good dark roast, has wonderful flavor and is a great value. I like really strong, dark coffee so I use 2 pods most of the time, but I don't think that's a knock on Gala Dark Roast because that's true with most of the pods I've tried. I use the Home Cafe and the pods work great - no loose grounds or problems. I've purchased the coffee twice now, and will buy again.

The Gala coffee pods (Dark) are only 60% of the price of Senseo and the flavor is almost identical to the Senseo Medium. It froths up about the same too. I'm well pleased with Gala pods for the price. Now, if only they had the variety of flavors Senseo has...

Finally there is a pod available that has great flavor AND a great price. These pods are well-blended, not too strong like most dark roasts. The flavor is rich and full bodied plus the price is much better than other brands. Gala Single Serving Coffee Pods, Dark Roast, 18-Count Packages (Pack of 12)

We've had the Senseo machine for a year and half now. In fact, we finally broke our first one! Anyways, we've been using the Senseo pods exclusively.
Always on a hunt for a bargain, we decided to try the Gala brand. The price was certainly right. Well, the Gala are just as good as the Senseo. The coffee is fresh brewed, with a nice frothy head, like the Senseo. Upon reading the bag, these are made in Holland, just like Senseo. Probably the same coffee, just with a different name.

A great alternative to Senseo,

I bought this product because it was a cheaper alternative to the Senseo coffee pods I've been buying. I don't have much else to compare with, as I've only used the Senseo products in my pod-style coffee maker. The Gala product taste just a good as the Senseo in my opinion, and it certainly is less expensive.
One interesting note - I only received one pacakage of 18 pods, and the rest (11 packages remaining in the order) were not shipped. Upon inquiry, I was told these were no longer available, and I was promptly issued a refund for the whole order!

I tried this coffee on a whim. My husband and I really enjoy our single serve coffee maker. We easily use up an 18-pak in 2 to 3 days between the grown children and us. This coffee has very smooth taste and mildly strong in flavor. It is a very nice coffee that can be enjoyed daily.

I have used Folgers, Senseo and Maxwell House coffee pods. This product is as good as, if not better than, all of these. If the price stays the same, I will continue to use this product.

I've only tried a few different varieties of coffee pods so far. The Senseo pods are most common, but typically most groceries stores only carry a few flavors. The Millstone coffee pods are fairly common as well, decent enough coffee.
I am using a Senseo coffee maker -- the basic model, which works well for my needs. I think Gala's pods rival both of these brands in taste, and beat them by wide margin in terms of cost. They are considerably less expensive. I was concerned about buying a case of them, thinking to myself that I might be stuck with something I didn't like, but I shouldn't have worried. They are quite good. Disclaimer: I have only tried their dark roast pods so far.

Much better than Flogers and as good as Senceo at a much cheaper price. I use the Dark Roast blend and I use 2 pods to make an 8 oz. cup of coffee that is wonderful! 216 pods works out to about $.15/pod or $.30/8 oz. cup.

I was a little worried that this coffee might not be that good. Much to my surprise the coffee is great. Cant beat the price for what you get. I will order Gala coffee again when I run out.
