This card was easy to install, it works great. My only problem is that i can't register my product with Galaxy for the 3 year extended warranty, there website doesn't work properly and phone line is just a voice mailbox.

I built my first desktop about a month and a half ago, and I used this video card. I don't think I'll ever need another. I was going to go with the gtx 550, but I decided to go big and get this one. I am glad I did that. Not a single problem with this card.

WARNING: It is a very big graphics card, it was as long as my motherboard.

I played Battlefield 3 on absolutely the highest graphics without a hiccup. I started FRAPS and the framerate did drop, but not by much. I lost the installation disc that came with it and was scared for a moment because the motherboard wouldn't register it, but a quick jaunt to their website and I downloaded the drivers, a quick restart, then POW, I was in business.

Strongly recommend this for people who just want to buy one card and be good for quite a few years.

I will SLI this when I can afford another one.

This card has at long last completed my personal gaming rig. For comparison sake, my pc is running on 12gb of ddr3 pc10600 ram, an amd fx8100 8-core processor, an ssd master drive with an hdd slave, a 1080watt psu, inside an antec twelve hundred v3 case w/6 fans going (no side vent fan yet), and this lovely video card. I have not done any overclocking yet. My monitor only goes to 1920x1080 and that is what I run all my games in.

First, lets get the negative out of the way. I should have spent the extra money or at least waited for a price drop on the 4gb version of this card, mainly because this 2gb version maxes out of video memory on certain games when you have all settings maxed out.

Max Payne 3 is a good example of this, because on all max (no vsync) it used up 2030mb out of my 2048mb card. The game lagged at that setting, but all I had to do was lower MSAA down from 8x to 4x with everything else still all max (no vsync). Video Memory usage went down to 1421mb and in gameplay fps stayed steady between 60-70. The game still looks beautiful, and to still have everything maxed out, the msaa difference is completely negligible.

The temps of the card hover at around 35-40C when idle, and generally stayed at 60c but made some dips around it on occasion while running the Witcher 2.

Speaking of The Witcher 2, this was one game I was interested in seeing what kind of a boost this card would get me, and I'm very happy with the results!

I've been buying and upgrading my video cards for years. I always buy the value card, the card that gives fair/good performance at a fair/good price. The problem with value cards is they do not help you in the future. Value cards play current games at medium settings. One year later the card is out dated.

In comes the GTX 680. This is an expensive card, $500 MSRP. This is not a value card! This is a card that will easily max out any current video game, and will continue to max out any game for the next 3-4 years. Although this was not originally a very affordable card, prices have been reduced quite a bit. After rebate this card was only $399. I also had a small Amazon credit and I used some CitiBank ThankYou reward points at checkout. Brought this card down to about half off. Then I sold my two old 5850 video cards and I almost got this card for free. Even at $399, its about the same price as some GTX 670's. I play Battlefield 3 on Ultra and it runs around 90-120 fps. Insane!! This is the second fastest card made, the fastest being $1,000.

I don't know a lot about Galaxy, but they have the same standard 3 year warranty everyone else has. I've read many reviews of cards from all companies, and no company is without complaints. I have not read very many negative reviews about Galaxy. The rebate process was easy.
The GTX 680 cards run a little warm because of how fast they are. During BF3 it usually runs at 70℃, but that is all dependent on fan speed. Other more expensive cards have more fans but you may pay a lot for that. And if the card is under warranty, who cares? This card also overclocks very easily. I highly recommend this card!
