3.0 out of 5 stars Decent guide to the underworld, January 19, 2007
This review is from: Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organisations (Paperback)
In the Star Wars Roleplaying game there are those supplements that you just can't live without, and then there are those that are good for running a specific type of campaign. This is the latter. I found this useful for when I was running a bounty hunter oriented campaign, when I needed to be familiar the infrastructure of how a criminal syndicate would work.

The book isn't that heavy on good stats. However, the weapons and equipment have made for some excellent additions to my game. The slavers' weapons, shipjacking kit, and sniper weapons stand out most prominently in my mind. Though the stats for sector and local law enforcement agencies have also played a roll in my games.

In essence, if you're going to be dealing with a lot of crime syndicates and need profiles for different types of criminals, you'll find this a decent read and it can provide some helpful background (though, by no means invaluable). Otherwise, you may want to pass on this one.

5.0 out of 5 stars Smugglers need enemies too!, March 7, 2010
This review is from: Galaxy Guide 11: Criminal Organisations (Paperback)
I have found this book to be a large help in writing and preparing campaigns for non Rebel/Imperial groups. When you have a group of "fringe" characters this can be an excellent tool. I was able to build my own criminal organization with a lot of the information coming from this book! Why fight Balcksun, when you can be Blacksun?
