Product Description

The Slim Armor case for the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 is specifically designed to protect the device at all angles. The TPU case features improved shock absorption on the top, bottom, and corners to effectively protect the Galaxy Note 3 from external impact. Slim Armor is double layered with a TPU case and a polycarbonate hard case to provide additional protection in a form fitted design. The polycarbonate midsection has a glossy finish and can be removed from the TPU. This allows the Slim Armor to be interchangeable with different colors. The case fits precisely onto the Galaxy Note 3 for a natural and sleek look. The speaker opening is specifically designed to fully utilize the speaker without reducing sound quality. The polycarbonate midsection has a glossy UV coating to prevent the colors from fading or rubbing off. The Slim Armor is designed to highlight the shape and style of the Galaxy Note 3.

Customer Reviews

Ive dropped my phone once or twice & have had zero damage to phone or case.
Ashley Hyatt
Pros: In a nutshell, this case is sturdy, solid, looks nice, fits very well with the phone, easy installation, **doesn't make the phone look bigger or uglier.
Conquistador
This case is sturdy and protective yet still has a nice slim fit that does not add bulk to the already larger phone.

We bought my wife a Spigen case as an OtterBox alternative for her iPhone 5S, and boy was I impressed. When I bought my Note 3, I turned to them for a protective case. A lot of cases really detract from the experience of using a device, which is a real shame knowing the thought put into engineering them. With both this Note 3 case and my wife's iPhone 5S case, I was impressed with Spigen's product from this perspective.

PROS:
The Note 3 is a beast of a phone to begin with, but it is a pretty thin device. This case gives it a little exta heft that is actually nice, to me.

This case is a great compromise - a comfortable amount of protection while still remaining attractive and aesthetically pleasing. I can lay it down on a flat surface face down without worry of screen scratching, and on the back without worry of camera lens scratching. The case provides enough "lift" on both sides to prevent any contact with the surface it's laid on.

It's easy to access the stylus - something I was concerned about. The volume and sleep/wake buttons all have a precise feel and click easily. All of the cutouts for speakers, microphones, and sensors are precisely located in the correct places. All the USB cables i've tried, both 3.0 and 2.0, work without issue.

CONS:
The headphone jack opening isn't large enough to accept my Shure headphones or some 3.5mm (aux input) cables. This is common with MANY cases, but worth noting. I have an extension cable that has the thin profile male connector that I use when I need to connect something too large. I wish it wasn't necessary, but oh well.

Some may find the glossy texture of the case to be annoying - it will leave smudges and probably scratch over time, as does any "glossy device". It doesn't bother me.

The Spigen Slim Armor is a high quality case. Materials are top notch and fitment is dead on.
It makes the phone a little more chunky and thick than I'd want, but it's a trade off for the protection.
The phone feels like its incased in an armored bulletproof shell.

People looking for a slimmer case should look to the Spigen Neo Hybrid or Diztronic Matte TPU for Samsung Note 3.

Spigen customer service and tracking information is nonexistent. But I'm rating the case, not the company.

Case fits the note 3 beautifully. Very nice quality and feel. Nice looking on. Seems to offer good bump protection. It recesses the camera enough for me. It provides a little lip so if laid face down it protects the front. Good port access. I'm impressed. No complaints.

The packaging for the case is really nice, like a showcase of the product. The cover itself was great. Very strong and sturdy, not to mention it looked really really good. The case is a 2 piece combination, the parts fit so nicely that it's not easy to pull the two parts apart when assembled. If they made one with a s-view front cover, I'd definitely spend the money to buy that one too.

Well let's just go ahead and address the elephant in the room right off the bat. The customer service was absolutely terrible from the get go, and from people I know in person this is apparently a common thing. I pre ordered this case on Sept 18th, then saw the price drop 2 days later. So I cancelled my order and re-ordered at the lower price. My expected shipping date stayed the same. As time went on I noticed the "availability" date for the case change multiple times on the Amazon page. I assumed cases would ship on the 2nd of October since thats when the first US carrier made the release, no dice. Once Oct 5th hit and my case was supposed to ship a week earlier I finally contacted customer service. 3 e-mails and 5 days later I finally got a response claiming they were triple checking quality control. That's a poor way to hide the fact your shipping is just far behind. Anyway, I finally got an email saying my case had shipped, I was super excited. Then 4 more days passed and my tracking info still didn't update.

I guess it's worth mentioning I paid for 2nd day shipping as well. Finally close to a week later my shipping info updated and my case arrived a couple days ago. I ended up wasting money on a temp case to use in the mean time while waiting for my Spigen case.

Now that I'm done jabbering about the annoying process I went through to get the case, let's talk about quality! Well damn, this case is pretty amazing. Much less boxy than an Otterbox but it definitely stands up to it with quality and a much more attractive design. I opted for the Slate color because I didn't want glossy fingerprints, this was an excellent choice. While it does add some weight to the phone, they did a great job of not making it very bulky while offering great protection.

So I just got the case today and my initial thoughts\impressions are that this is a high quality case with great craftsmanship at a great price. It could easily be priced at $30 and still sell well but I'm glad that it wasn't :)

Fitment is spot on and very secure, once you have the case on it is not coming off unless you want it to come off. Cut-outs for the headphones, IR sensor, S Pen, USB connection, mics, and speaker are all precise and on point.

PROs:
- High quality well constructed case at a bargain price
- Looks good on the Note 3
- Offers great protection to go along with good looks

CONs:
- With the added protection you get with the case you also get a little heft and weight added to the Note 3. Anyone who owns a Note 3 knows that for a smartphone it's size, it is remarkably thin and light. Using this case takes away from that, not substantially but still noticeable.

Other thoughts:
- Anyone using headphones with an L-shape connector might have issues using their headphones with this case as the headphone jack becomes deeply recessed with the case on. Not an issue for me since I'm using Bluetooth headphones but I thought I should throw it out there for other buyers.

- All in all, I still like the case and will keep it for awhile but I will eventually go with SPIGEN's other case for the Note 3, the Neo Hybrid. Had I known about the Neo Hybrid first I definitely would have gotten it instead. If you want good protection but without the added heft or weight of the Slim Amor series I definitely recommend looking at the Spigen Neo Hybrid.
