Signed articles range from half-page to more than 30 pages with subsections and bibliography. Articles on many countries' programs for deaf people increase the usefulness. Biographical entries are included for people important to deaf people and to society in general. Due to the price, purchase of this unique source may be limited to larger public, academic, and health science libraries with interest in hearing impairments, rehabilitation, and education of deaf people and the information needs of those who work with them.
