From Library Journal
McClish, president of the International Society of Marine Painters, has selected more than 130 paintings by contemporary marine artists. Covering every variety of sea-related subject, this comprehensive portfolio of the genre includes pastels, watercolors, oils, and acrylics. Brief glossaries of nautical and art terms aid the artist, but for comprehensive instruction, see Rachel Rubin Wolf's Painting Ships, Shores & the Sea (North Light, 1998). McClish succeeds in assembling images that will appeal to artists and lovers of the sea alike.
