Product Description

15 grams of 99.99% pure gallium
The gallium is in the shape of a thick coin, its dimensions are approx. 0.8 x 0.2 inch.

Comes in a handy cup with a lid for storage (see image)

The gallium is embedded in a rigid silicone to keep it in its original form,
and to prevent it from coating the inside of the cup if liquid (place in freezer first upon arrival, the gallium may be in liquid state! After about 20 minutes it will be solid, and safe to remove from the silicone)

Ordered as a gift. Arrived on time. If you need pure gallium then this is your product. I can't see how it could warrant anything less than a 5-star review. It's 15g of pure gallium. If you want something other than gallium, then don't order this.

I purchased this for my husband for Christmas and he hasn't stopped playing with it since. He loves to pull it out and show it off. The only downfall, the bottle that it originally comes in is a pain to get the Gallium out of. We ended up purchasing a different type of container to keep it in and had to cut the original bottle open to get the Gallium out.

Just a word of warning: please do not ever take this onto an aircraft.
You may be fined heavily and will be responsible for the cost of a several hundred thousand dollar cleanup and repair of the airframe if this stuff spills, as it will destroy the aluminum alloys used in aircraft construction.
Seriously. Don't.

Hard to get out of the container, until I figured out putting it in the fridge first. Fascinating! I just love it.

I don't know what else to say, other than this appears to be very pure high-quality gallium. If you haven't played with Gallium before let me tell you it is just like mercury but safer and more fun. It can be "frozen" at ambient temperature, and turned into a liquid by just holding it in your hand. It flows like mercury and there are lots of fun experiments to do with it.
Difficult to write a review for a chemical element, so I'll just say this seems to be the real thing and it should serve your purposes if, for some weird reason, you actually have gallium, or you want to teach your kids that chemistry can be fun.

When we got this container of Gallium we floated it in a container of warm water till the metal melted. We poured it out and the Gallium resembled Mercury. We played with it for a long time, it is very captivating. It does leave a grey film on your hand. Nothing soap and water wont take off. It isn't a lot of Gallium but it is worth purchasing.

I bought this for a class presentation I had to give about Gallium. Its fun to play with and pretty cool, but loses its appeal after a while. Mine develops an oxide layer on its surface that can leave marks on whatever it touches, but it isn't too bad
