I ordered this oil thinking it would be like other organic extra virgin coconut oil I have bought but it was not even close. Unlike other quality oils I have purchased this has a yellow tinge and strong oder which according to The Coconut Oil Miracle by Bruce Fife, C.N., N.D. Coconut oil made from sun dried copra is actually of lesser or inferior quality. These are called cochin oils and have a strong smell and taste and are slightly discolored. Deterred by the smell and look of the oil I contacted Natures Approved to see if I had a bad batch. They told me based off the batch number that it was a fresh make so I gave it a whirl. Like I have always done I put a tablespoon in my hot cereal but it had such a horrible flavor I could not even finish it. I recommend getting small size for a taste test before you get the big 5 gallon to see if you like it. My personal favorite is Nutvia brand.

Excellent value! Shipping time was good and the cost was very reasonable. Now for the product...Excellent! Wonderful flavor. I am very pleased with this purchase and will be back to get more when we run out!
