Editorial Reviews

For Gallows' self-titled full-length, the band recorded 11 new tracks at Broadfield Studio in Watford, the band's hometown, in May 2012 with producers Thomas Mitchener and Steve Sears and feature some of Gallows' best work to date.

3 of 4 people found the following review helpful By Scott Rosenbluth on September 21, 2012
Format: Audio CD
How does Punk influenced Hardcore mixed with Southern Metal sound to you folks? Because to me, it sounds like divinity. How a band from England can so easily exemplify and pay homage to a sound that was created thousands of miles away from, and many years past them, is beyond amazing to me. True punk, hardcore, and metal enthusiasts will marvel at Gallows' new self titled effort's authenticity and visciousness. Sounding like a pub crawl with your boys that ended in boozing, brawling, vandalism, and probably prison, the new Gallows album is all about stage intesity and immediacey. Foregoing much of the anthemic and melodic turns of "Grey Brittain", the new album tears at you like a snarling rotweiller through a chain-link fence. The new vocalist carries a vitriol and napalm fueled approach a dose heavier than the previous guy, but less catchy. This direction lets Gallows run through eleven tracks, without you so much as being able to lift your jaw from shock and awe, ballgrabbing, intensity. Gallows is reborn, covered in filth, with two middle fingers in the air!
