4.0 out of 5 stars Love it, for the most part
Our 2-year old loves this trampoline, jumping on it for quite some time every day, and lying on it to watch TV!

It took a while to get it put together, but it won't fall apart any time soon!

My only criticism is that it is too light. My husband is going to have to find a way to weight the legs this weekend. My son only weighs 26 pounds (and...

3.0 out of 5 stars Not bad for a small indoor trampoline, February 10, 2009

I bought this trampoline for my 2 and 4 year old daughters. It comes flatpacked and requires assembly - you really need 2 adults to get the correct tension on the elastic cord but the instructions are clear. I did research similar trampolines but decided on this as I like the fact that it can fold flat for storage. Am overall pleased with the product but recommend it be used on carpet rather than tile as it has a tendancy to rock forward slightly and I'm concerned that it may tip over if the kids go too crazy!. The bar at the front is great for smaller kids to keep their balance. Would not recommend this to parents with children over 5 - it's not big enough or stable enough. Hope this helps.

It took a while to get it put together, but it won't fall apart any time soon!

My only criticism is that it is too light. My husband is going to have to find a way to weight the legs this weekend. My son only weighs 26 pounds (and this is rated to 60) and has already almost tipped it over when jumping vigorously, particularly when holding onto the handle, as it unbalances it.

Other than that, he loves it, and it should last a while.

I was very disappointed with this high priced kids trampoline. Previously I purchased an adult round trampoline for less than half the price. This trampoline did not have the handle bar. My todder son, age 2.5, enjoys the trampoline so much, I thought I would get the higher priced model. To my surprise, the higher priced model is not as high a quality as the lower priced adult trampolines. The most important problem is that this trampoline uses a bungy cord to wrap around the inner mat, and not springs. Springs work MUCH better. The bungy cord moves and adjusts, and does not give a good spring action. The handle bar is on one side of the device, and when the child jumps, the other side tends to raise up and when it goes down it pounds on the floor. This can ruin a wood floor, and it can cause a loud sound throughout the house. The frame is very light, and does not appear to be a durable as other frames. Overall, the design looks good, but it is not functional. The manufacturer needs a new design that eliminates the above problems and which uses springs. Perhaps the bar should be centered more, and perhaps some mechanism should be in place for putting a weight on the side opposite the bar to prevent this side from going up and down. Finally, when the trampoline goes up and down, this is dangerous, and the child could topple it over, and hurt himself.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great Fun!!, December 15, 2001

My nephew was given this trampoline more than 8 years ago. It has gone through 4 grandchildren and countless friend's and neighbor's kids. I have watched kids from just standing age to 6 years old having a blast on this trampoline! My kids liked to put other toys on it while they jumped, the laughter was wonderful! It is great for days when you can't get outside to burn off some of that energy. This product is worth every penny. Durable, Safe, and Tons of fun for the kids. Oh, by the way, it also folds down really easy for storage. (if you can ever get the kids off it)

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for bouncy tots, January 16, 2001
= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
I got this for my boys, age nearly 6 and nearly 2. Despite the 3 and up label, it's most fun, and perfectly safe for the very bouncy 2 year old. They both LOVE it, but after a few weeks use by the 6 year old, who is 45 pounds max, not 60, it's already showing significant signs of wear - stretched elastic, some of the stitching has come undone. Putting it together is not too hard, but it IS a 2 person job. Also it doesn't fold flat quite as easily as I expected. It's a worthwhile buy for small energetic children in bad weather, but shave about 20 pounds off the maximum recommended weight. And don't expect to be able to fold it flat in 5 seconds and slide it under the futon!

5.0 out of 5 stars Awesome!!!, February 11, 2003
= Durability:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:3.0 out of 5 stars
I've had my trampoline for well over a year. I purchased it originally to help my son (who has mild CP) learn how to jump. It was a perfect aparatus for him to practice on. His PT brought it to our home for a trial and I knew immediately we would buy one. Ours arrived with a small questionable area (? split/cut) of integrity on the jumping surface. The company was very reputable in sending a replacement surface promptly and free of charge. I have had no further problems. My children continue to jump on the trampoline very frequently and have great fun on it. My children are now 42 mo and 27 mo and are small for their age. I think that due to the size of this portable trampoline I would question it's safety for very active and/or large kids older than 4 or 5. When jumped on aggressively, the trampoline can lift/tilt upward opposite from the handle end. Unless you were to put brackets over the rear "legs" to stabilize them this could pose a safety concern.

5.0 out of 5 stars A Lot OF Fun But Not Very Durable, July 15, 2001
= Durability:2.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:2.0 out of 5 stars
We bought this for our 3 year old son (now 4). He has loved it since the first day and uses it almost every day. He has enjoyed it immensely. Now for the bad side. The mat is not very durable. After a few months the stitching between the elastic and mat came loose. I took it to a tarp shop and they sewed it back together. Mow the mat is splitting and will have to be replaced. And of course toys r us doesn't have the replacement mat so I'll have to find it elsewhere.

3.0 out of 5 stars Son loved it but....., April 16, 2007

Bought the trampoline for my sons b-day. It came in rather quickly and he loved it. I loved the fact the his feet didn't get stuck in the cords. He was happily bouncing in the play room until about 2 months later he stopped. The blue bungie cord had rubbed against something on the trampoline so much that it frayed and finaly broke. I called the Galt company and in a matter of days a replacement cord was at my door at no cost. Hooraay!! Baby boy can go back to jumping. This time I taped up all the screws thinking it must have been the screws (even though they had rounded edges). Lo and behold it is now about 2 months later and again the trampoline is in pieces in the garage because of the frayed and broken bungie cord.
My son got the trampoline for his birthday in January and it is currently April and once again I have to call Galt. It's a good trampoline....when it's not in the garage.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun for the kids; good for body and brain., January 19, 2009

My boys (5, 4, and 22 mo.) love this trampoline. They use it literally every day. I like it because it is good indoor exercise, we can direct them to it when they are jumping on the couch, and it helps get the wiggles out. Also, I know it is good sensory input for my littlest guy who has sensory integration issues.

Minor issues--it was difficult to string the bungee cord (took two of us and some sweat). Also, the handle rattles a bit in place when the kids jump. It doesn't seem to connect as securely as we'd like. The black locking screws were missing when the product arrived, but when we contacted the manufacturer they promptly sent them to us.

5.0 out of 5 stars Tube joint cracked, February 23, 2004

= Durability:3.0 out of 5 stars  = Fun:5.0 out of 5 stars  = Educational:5.0 out of 5 stars
First of all, this toy is very popular with my 2 daughters (4 1/2yrs and 2yrs). My younger daughter has gross motor delays and we purchased this to work on jumping...WHICH SHE LOVES!! Since she is so young (and tiny) I am on top of her - trying to avoid her chin hitting the handle bar. (She doesn't extend her arms out very far either). Use extreme caution with children of ANY age. My 2 complaints: First, assembly is difficult for 1 person; with 2 people it is very simple (need 4 hands). Secondly, while assembling the trampoline (by myself), the "tube joint" cracked in half. I recommend checking this piece regularly, as well as all parts. The "tube joint" is the circular piece (with the teeth) that cranks the arm and legs open and closed. I called Galt immediately and they are shipping 2 tube joints to me - no charge, of course. My compliments: Pleasant customer service at Galt America...no automated phone nightmares...2 rings and I was speaking with a representative.
