Galt The Original Folding Trampoline

We bought this for our 4 year old for Christmas, and the bungee that holds the pad to the frame snapped on the 28th. Taking a closer look, I noticed that most of the cord is frayed, and I will have to get a new bungee. I have contacted the manufacturer with no response, so I will be off to Lowes to find a new more durable cord.

We have been looking for a toddler trampoline for quite some time for our 2 and 4 year old boys. I finally purchased this one at our local Red Balloon Toy Store and brought it home.

Pros: My boys COULD jump on this for hours! Great exercise...if it stays together.

Cons: We'll be lucky if this trampoline last for more than a month. This construction is SO poor. It is wobbly and unstable. The screws that came with it were stripped and didn't fit in the precut holes, anyway. We finally had to take it over to my dad's house (Mr. Fixit), and it took him an hour to file bigger holes and find better bolts and nuts to fasten it together. My dad was disgusted with it. He is a perfectionist and an engineer, and could not get this frame to fit together tightly.
Wrapping the bungee around the frame was ridiculous; we cannot get the mat to stay taut. Once we FINALLY got it together, the whole frame wobbles and shakes everytime the kids jump on it. I'll be surprised if it lasts 1 month. The Velcro on the mat comes off constantly, and the kids can remove the handlebar fairly easily which worries me a lot.

It is so unstable that my kids look like they're going to flip the whole thing over (forward) everytime they jump. Total waste of money. I'll be looking for a better manufacturer.

My wife actually ordered this, I didn't want her too,(didn't want another thing cluttering our house) but it's been a great addition for our 3 year old. He loves to jump on it. The setup is a little hard as it uses one long cord instead of the traditional springs, but the improved safety makes the slightly more difficult labor worth it.

this has been great..since it can handle up to approx 70 lbs myolder kids can jump on it too. They have all enjoyed this.
Con: you have to keep re-tightening the bungie cords and the velcro closures on the cover come apart VERY easily. they need to use stronger velcro.
overall great though

Our 21-month-old granddaughter LOVES her "tampoline" and runs to it first when she arrives. Great exercise and keeps her busy.
