Great little solar LED flashlight.,

I bought one for a trip to an island with no power. I charged it in the sun for 30 minutes, as instructed, and it has been going and going!! Enough light to see where you are walking. The case looks waterproof.
One down side: You must keep pressing the button to keep it on. It would be nice to have a switch which turned on with one press, then off with another press. But, I guess that would make it cost over $10. I'll be buying a bunch more of these to bring as gifts to my friends on the islands!

A great little gadget. I spend part of each year living at a rural retreat center, where I need a flashlight every night for walking around (unless the moon is full), and this is perfect.
I was sick of having to replace the batteries in other mini-flashlights (finding the right kind of batteries, spending more money on them, and accumulating dead batteries that aren't supposed to go in the regular trash because of their toxic chemicals). This flashlight has a solar cell on one side that charges its batteries. I just put it in a sunny window for a few hours once or twice a week. The flashlight is a little bigger than the remote for my car, and the two LED lights are nice and bright. (At first I was disappointed by the brightness, but it turned out I hadn't given the batteries a long enough initial charge.) I've dropped the flashlight a couple of times, and that doesn't seem to have bothered it. P.S. When this flashlight died after about a year and a half, I bought a similar solar-charged keychain flashlight from another company, and I like it too.

Purchased this item as a possible x-mas gift. Did not work in the packaging, so I opened it up (thinking maybe it had one of those battery saving tags). Still did not work (no tabs). Let it sit in sunlight for a few hours, nothing. A few days, nothing. Finally it ran for about 30 seconds and died. It never worked again, even after leaving it in the sun for a week. Save your money. If you want to try one that works, I purchased a Rayovac solar key-chain light for about half the amount of money of this piece of garbage.
