We have a dark street and seeing the address on the house at night was just about impossible. The green Solar Address Light solved that problem. It really stands out. My only complaint is that the plastic frame that holds the numbers into place is really thin. It has warped and lets the numbers slip out of place. I am sure the warping has something to do with the several 100+ degree days we had this summer. I am anticipating having to super glue the frame so that it will stay flat and not let the numbers move around.

Everyone in my neighborhood has asked me where did I get this house numbers sign. At night it shines brightly, during the day the numbers are large enough to read from a distance. Several people have purchased the same sign. It is so great to have. In an emergency at night I don't have to worry anymore about my home being located. I highly recomment it.

Installed this unit outdoor but the snap on cover warped and would not close. Numbers would fall out (see other review.) It does get warm here - above 100F and this unit is not suitable for warmer climates such as So California. Returned the unit and received a refund for the purchase price. Of course shipping cost both ways was not refunded.

This product might light up. It might not. Unfortunately, I don't know because in order for me to mount this sign so that it will charge via the sun, I would have to place it in my back yard. The solar panel is helpfully angled to get the most from the oncoming sun, but if the sun is shining at it from the back of the unit, the panel is in perpetual shadow. The solar panel itself is not sensitive enough to charge from ambient light, so I have yet to see it light up even once.

Granted, this is entirely my fault as I didn't think this through when I ordered the product. It would be nice if there was a separate solar charging accessory that you could mount somewhere convenient and then run a wire to charge the internal battery. Ah well, maybe in version 2.0.

Otherwise, this is a pretty decent product. The construction quality is good, the instructions are clear and it doesn't feel like a cheap piece of plastic crap. It comes with five copies of each digit and installing them takes minimal skills. I haven't tried the included hard stakes, but I was able to screw my sign into a yard post with little problem.

Plus - We live on a dark street. A neighbor called 911 one night which got a fire engine in front of our house so they could get a bearing on the street address ranges since our Solar Address Light was the only address visible.

Minus - It doesn't take direct sunlight well. Ours is mounted on the provided stakes in the ground in front of the house. The numbers have yellowed and the thin plate that holds the numbers has warped allowing the numbers to fall out of place. I would recommend if you purchase this product that it be mounted on the house where it is a little better protected from the elements.

THE ITEM I RECEIVED DOES NOT WORK! I HAVE PURCHASE DIRECTLY FROM GAMASONIC IN THE PAST AND HAD NO PROBLEMS.

I am surprice when I got this from Amazon, the material was, I should say "well made". Despite, other had commanded.

It did not look at all like some cheaply produced item from China. it actually quite high quality.

It didnt get a full 5 stars is because the re-chargeable batteries that came with it wasn't quite up to my standard, it should have use a better grade re-chargable batteries., but that can be change out.

I have had three of these address lights. The first one worked for about a year then one of the LED lights got a short of some kind and worked sporadically. I replaced the unit with a new one which worked for two whole days. I sent it back and Amazon relaced it with a third one which worked for one night only. I did some troubleshooting and found that unless the unit is located in an extremely dark place at night the photo cell will not work properly. It is not very sensitive to normal outside darkness. I don't know why the first one worked as long as it did. I'm not going to try another one. I also had the front bracket which holds down the numbers warp on both sides. Nothing but problems with this item.

This product stopped working within 3 months. The plastic is cheap and falls out. Definately not a product to ever buy.

2nd sign actually works well. The green letters glow very well giving excellent visibility at night. Only problem is the plastic is now discoloring. We live in Sunny Florida and the plastic is taking a real beating.Maybe someone will offer a metal sign that won't discolor
