"Country" does not equal "stupid",

This is a great story, but I didn't like the horribly backwoods way the heroine spoke. She was supposed to be educated and well-read like her brother (who spoke correctly), but she was made out to be a stupid hick. Being "country" doesn't mean you're stupid.
