Gambling at it's best
A fun read about some amazing gambling stories.A book that is hard to put down and it covers many different gambling avenues.

Weak.
I have a pretty intense interest in gambling and I love reading about its history. I thought this book would be right up my alley. I was wrong. It is a very difficult read. The stories are rarely more than few scant details with some commentary and filler. It often seems as if the author has heard an "urban legend" somewhere and then added his own speculations to try...

I have a pretty intense interest in gambling and I love reading about its history. I thought this book would be right up my alley. I was wrong. It is a very difficult read. The stories are rarely more than few scant details with some commentary and filler. It often seems as if the author has heard an "urban legend" somewhere and then added his own speculations to try and put some flesh on the bones. Granted, there are a few stories here that seem fully told, but those are rare. Overall, it's just not a very good presentation of the topic.

I bought this a Christmas gift for my parents and they loved it. This is not a how to win at gambling book but rather a collection of interesting bizarre stories.
