I bought this product 12/30/06 for a DVD player that started to act up when playing certain DVD's. Movies would start to skip, and sometimes outright freeze.
I was skeptical about a cleaner working, but it did indeed work! I then went on to use it on a Sony 6 disc CD player that would skip sometimes when you would walk in front of the cabinet that housed it. After trying it on the CD player, the problem was solved. Nice to get a product that works! Steve/OHIO

Does not work with Gamecube,
This review is from: Game Dr. 2-DISC Laserblast Optical Lens Cleaner (Electronics)
I bought this product to clean my Gamecube and Wii. I assumed it would work because in the picture it says Gamecube on the product's box. When I received the product however mine does not say Gamecube on the box and my Gamecube does not recognize it.

I bought this item at a local Goodwill for $2.99. I just happened to be on my way to look for a similar product at Best Buy, but decided to stop at Goodwill for some video game hunting and came up with this. My old XBox started having disc read errors, so I thought a nice cleaner would save the hassle of opening it up and cleaning the lens myself. To my disappointment, it did no such thing. It asked me to fast forward, but the XBox (360 or original) does not have such a function for audio disc. I accidentally skipped the track and couldn't go back. What a waste of money!Well, it was. I stopped to think for a moment and realized why it needed to fast forward. The first track is about 13 minutes long (mostly of silence). You fast forward to get to the point when the laser is aligned with the brushes. Since I couldn't fast forward, I opened and closed the tray with the CD in and started over. Instead of fast forwarding, I left the disc in and let in run through. Around the end of the track you could hear weird sounds like a brush running over a surface, but amplified. This is why you fast forward - to get the brushes to that point and to do the job quickly. Regardless, my XBox has not had a read error in a long time. If you can't fast forward, just let the first track run. This product does work, and the store selling it for $4.99 seems to be a good deal.

I purchased this for the Xbox360 in the hopes it would fix the frequent "dirty disk" error that I receive even with new games.
Unfortunately, it requires you to also put it in fast forward, which xbox apparently doesnt do. It might with a remote control. Should be a note on here talking about it. At least it didn't cost a lot.

I bought this instead of a cheaper model because of the second smaller disc that will supposedly clean a Gamecube laser lens. Unfortunately, the Gamecube (at least mine) doesn't recognize the disc, so it's worthless.
