Puchased Adventure Chronicles 2/13/09 Worked fine until the very last challenge. Got message "scene Final Treasure scene data does not exist". uninstalled, re-down loaded and reinstalled software. Same error message at same location. Contacted Amazon, directed to a game vendor, directed to a second game vendor, directed to a third game vendor who told me to re-download game. No one wants to provide solution or refund. Other games I've downloaded from Amazon have been fine.

This is a well-produced game, good graphics, and fun to play. I liked that it offered extra "objects to find", and the addition of a special "geocache" item in each location was nice, but then there was nothing to do with all of them once they'd been found ... seemed like a lost opportunity to expand the game, reward the player for getting them all. The game is not great fun to replay ... but I figure it took me as long to finish as it would to read a paperback book, which would cost about the same, so guess I got a reasonable return on investment. I'd like to see more from this maker, just with a little more to it.

I was actually surprised at this game. I enjoyed it and hope there are other games out there like it!It is a neat little detective game where you need to find all kinds of objects some are not so easy to find - but there is help in the form of a detector. The puzzles are relatively easy and I finished the whole game in 5 hours. I like the way you can go back and find all the objects 100% Oh yes, I also got the message "scene Final Treasure scene data does not exist" but I just clicked "OK" and it just went through it anyway. I did not have any problems with it. I didn't have to reinstall it or anything. I have Vista too - but had no problems with it. Overall Great game and I am looking forward to the sequel!

I bought 'Adventure Chronicles' as a 'Video game deal of the day' for a few bucks after trying out the demo. The game itself is made up of 30 basically identical 'find the objects in the scene' puzzles divided into 5 'treasure hunts' with cut scenes between the hunts narrating a simple, though reasonably interesting, plotline. If you play the demo, you'll know almost exactly what you're getting in the full game. While this isn't really an 'adventure' game, I was impressed by the quality of the voice acting in the cut scenes. Since the 30 minute demo allows you to determine whether or not you'll find the game worth your money, I mainly wanted to write this review to mention that I am running 64-bit Windows 7 and had no problems downloading or running the game and experienced no warnings or errors while playing (in particular I never saw a 'scene data does not exist' message).

I enjoyed playing this game very much. It has what I like most in a game-hidden objects and interactive parts where you use different objects found to perform various functions. For me it wasn't too hard but it wasn't so easy as to be boring either. I would recommend it to anyone who has at least some experience playing this type of game. It has a nice length, I thought. No complaints at all.

Frankly, I've never been that big of a fan of these "find the object" games - partly because I'm not very good at finding said objects - but Adventure Chronicles: The Search for Lost Treasures sort of sucked me in. For one thing, there's a little Object Finder tool available to help you out when absolutely necessary; more importantly, though, you actually need to do stuff with certain objects you find - e.g., find a key to unlock something. I also like the fact that there is actually a story that ties all of these puzzles together. You take the role of archaeologist Susan Anderson, who has just received the long-lost journal of true hunter T.R. Benson from a mysterious character named John. Even as you are out pursuing such unimaginably rich spoils as the Great Civil War treasure, Napoleon's treasure, ancient Egyptian and Mayan treasures, and Blackbeard's long-lost booty, Susan is trying to figure out exactly who her mysterious new benefactor is - and what he really wants from her.Not surprisingly, the game is not as lengthy as most players would hope for. You have six puzzles per treasure hunt, so that's a total of thirty different puzzles. Don't pay too much heed to those "30 bonus geo cache missions," because those are not separate missions at all - you just have one geo cache object to find in each of the regular puzzles. The fun isn't over once you complete your five treasure hunts, though. The game doesn't really make this all that clear (I only discovered it because I wanted to go back and find the one geo cache object I had missed), but you can replay all thirty missions - with all new objects to find - in order to become a "master explorer." All together, you're looking at several hours of reasonably challenging and fun adventuring, and that's pretty much all you could ask for from a game such as this.

First of all Amazon, thank you for having the game downloads. You make it so much easier and affordable. This game is fun because I like the "hide and find" games. I go to the download games first to see what is available. Thanks again.
