Borrow it via your library to decide whether it's worth buying.,

Note: I myself am not yet a very highly advanced player; but I've been practicing daily for the past six months, and I'm permanently hooked.
The reviewer who said this book is absolutely "no good" was WAY too harsh. I'm looking at a copy of this old book (that I borrowed via interlibrary loan), and I'm spotting numerous intriguing tips (via the text that accompanies the many decent drawings). A portion of the content pertains specifically to ("pocketless") billiards, not pool; but an appreciable portion does pertain specifically/equally to pool. Mind, this "1964" book isn't nearly as impressive as the best books that have become available during the ensuing decades. But I myself happen to enjoy collecting MANY pool books--including sundry vintage volumes like this one--because I seldom fail to notice at least one or two little/big things that end up helping my game. And decent USED copies of this book sell at such extremely low prices that I'm shortly going to order one for my personal "pool" bookshelf.

No good,

I don't know why this book is still in print. The pool section is terrible and the billiard section is worse. Don't waste your money.
