5.0 out of 5 stars Long Awaited Book Two in the Tyranael Series
If you have not yet discovered the translated writing of the Quebecois writer Elizabeth Vonarburg, then it is definitely time.

A Game of Perfection is Book Two in the Tyranael series. Dreams of the Sea is the first book.

3.0 out of 5 stars interesting, but...
She has created a world in great detail. There are several books in the series. I read two. I lost interest halfway through the second. The first volume presented a unique world with unique conditions, but then "nothing" happens.

If you have not yet discovered the translated writing of the Quebecois writer Elizabeth Vonarburg, then it is definitely time.

A Game of Perfection is Book Two in the Tyranael series. Dreams of the Sea is the first book.

Evidently Vonarburg had a dream about the Tyranael universe about 20 plus years ago - something she called "The Big Dream", and set about writing this exquisitely crafted series, first in French and now finally for the first time the beginning two books, "Dreams of the Sea" and "A Game of Perfection", are finally available in English.

Vonarburg's writing is intricate, and most definitely thought provoking. There are more details about Dreams of the Sea and, and A Game of Perfection on her English publishers website (Edge Science Fiction and Fantasy Publishing ). It would be a good idea to get both books, although A Game of Perfection is strong enough as a stand alone story as well.

I definitely recommend it - and for that matter so do the reviewers.
