A Woman Scorned...,
By
This review is from: Game Recognize Game - A Novel (Paperback)
GAME RECOGNIZE GAME by Terry Deron is a story of four individuals that are in the prime of their life. Tracy Spencer is a senior in college where she interns at one of the hottest radio stations in town. Troy Vincent is her sexy boss and is known as a real ladies man around the office. Simone is one of Troy's "jump offs" that also works at the radio station. Unfortunately, she does not see her role as a "jump off." When she catches Troy and Tracy in a compromising position at the office, she decides to exact revenge on both of them.Mark Parvais is a star cornerback and one of the top ten NFL prospects in the country. A secret he is keeping from his best friend and roommate may destroy their friendship and the teams morale. Each of these individuals lives intertwine and no one will be the same when it is all said and done. GAME RECOGNIZE GAME by Terry Deron shows how "hell hath no fury like that of a woman scorned." This is a story of sex, lust, lies and betrayal. The story has a nice flow and moves fast, making for a quick read. Unfortunately, I felt there was too much going on within the story that overshadowed the main plot. Also, I did not think it was necessary for the author to repeat what happened in a previous scene with a different character. Although I realize this was to get that character's point of view on the situation I felt it was totally unnecessary. I think the author did a very good job; the storyline drew me in and I had no editing issues with this book. I look forward to reading the sequel to see exactly how this story is going to play out. This review is from: Game Recognize Game - A Novel (Paperback)
GAME RECOGNIZE GAME is a perplexing novel that dives into different situations that force four young adults, who are attending a historically black university, into an intense game of lust, lies and deception. Tracy Spencer is a senior in college where she interns at one of the radio stations in town. Troy Vincent is her boss and is known as a real ladies' man around the office. Simone is one of Troy's "jump offs" who also works at the radio station. When she catches Troy and Tracy in a compromising position at the radio station, she decides to exact revenge on both of them. Mark Parvais is a star cornerback and one of the top ten NFL prospects in the country. He struggles with the responsibilities of fatherhood while trying to enjoy the benefits of being an athlete. A secret he is keeping from his best friend and roommate may destroy their friendship and the team's morale. Each of these individuals lives' intertwine and no one will be the same when it is all said and doneGAME RECOGNIZE GAME was an extremely gratifying read. I haven't read a book this exciting and intense in a long time. I couldn't put it down; I was up all day and night, forsaking everything else in my life so I could finish this book. This is a definite must read by all. The story has a nice flow and makes for a quick read. I was left on the edge of my seat and I'm waiting on the sequel, so I can see exactly how the story plays out. Reviewed by Latifa(tm) Sanchez for RAWSISTAZ REVIEWERS

College Life R+++ Rated,
This review is from: Game Recognize Game - A Novel (Paperback)
Terry DeRon introduces his first novel full of drama, sex and revenge. The four characters: Troy, Mark, Simone and Tracy are young people on a mission to be successful, but at what cost? The plot was entertaining. The scenes reminded you of everyday college life on campus. One thing that I didnt care for was the repeat of scenes. I really didnt think it was necessary and it wouldnt have taken anything away from the plot, had he left that out. The story was realistic and you could actually read this book in a day. There is no other way to describe these characters but to say they were truly a hot mess. I commend Terry on a job well done. He's a talented writer. There definitely seems to be a sequel in the works and I can't wait to read it.

Excellent story by new comer Terry Deron! This book held my attention from page one to page 257! Tracy, Troy, Simone and Mark had me on the edge of my seat. Each character was strong enought to hold his or her own. Looking forward to more from this author! Great Job!!! And the ending...NEVER say that coming!!!!

This review is from: Game Recognize Game - A Novel (Paperback)
Have you ever wondered what's going on at those college campuses? Are you an alumni and miss those years of wonder? Well, Game Recognize Game by Terry Deron, while displaying several story lines in one power-packed book, lays an intricate storyline out there for everyone to enter and experience. The characters are relatable and their stories will captivate you.First there is Tracy Spencer, a senior in college and an intern at the hottest radio station in town. She's a sassy, sexually free young thing that not only gets involved with debonair promotions director, Troy Vincent. She also has a simultaneous fling going with college football star, Mark Parvais. All the while, her high school sweet heart is vying for her heart and attention. With so many emotions bottled up, and enjoying every minute of it, what is this sister to do? Next enters Troy Vincent playa-playing his song that never ends. Troy is living the good life as a promotions director for Constant Communications with a new stash of loot from bonuses. He takes pride in being the man the ladies love at the station and indulging in some of the finer things in life. Until he realizes that he's tangled up with the wrong chick! Will this realization come to late? Then there is Simone aka Anita. This woman's feelings are touch and go and it's best that she not be messed over, so when she gets played to the left by a man that she thought she had a future with everyone that gets in her path is fair game to be played like a trumpet. Even her friends may end up casualties of her revenge. Mark Parvias is the star cornerback for SU Cats and one of the top NFL picks. While struggling with the responsibility of fatherhood, he is taking advantage of the college life and being "the man." He and his friend and roommate, Chris Clasper, have some tough decisions to make in life and love. In Game Recognize Game the lives of all of the above become intertwined and situations definitely escalate out of control, sometimes good, sometimes bad, but he who has the best game wins, or do they? Game Recognize Game is a sexy roller coaster that places you on the S.U. campus right there with the characters. As I turned the pages, I was eager to see what would happen the next day at S.U. Would Tracy chose which man she wanted to be with, was Simone going to go postal, would Chris decide to help his father, and was Mark going to show the picture on his camera phone to anyone? Those were questions that kept moving through my mind. First-time author, Terry Deron, has written an entertaining page turner that left me wanting more. There are still some questions unanswered that I'd love to read a part two to Game Recognize Game. Recommended reading.
