My hope is that this reviewer just isn't that saavy at video games. While the control scheme does sound rather annoying, I really hope this is as good as the first. In any case, it's worth it to me just to get the download of the original. I still remember the feeling of gratification when I beat it back in the 80's.......I hope I can still do it.....

After the reviews I've seen, it all seems to come down to either you can adjust to the controls or you can't. Most reviewers gave it great reviews despite the controls but a few others (like this guy) just couldn't forgive Nintendo for such an awkward setup.

Yep, you should DEFINITELY justify the game over a review by a business that isn't even gaming related!

You know, the creators of the game played the game with the controls they created. I can assure you that the creators of any game are quite good at that game. So it's safe to assume that the controls, no matter how difficult they may be, are certainly possible to master. Also, there are numerous good reviews too, so this suggests that the controls can be mastered with some practice. Maybe reviewers complaining about the controls should read the instruction manual and then try again?

Game Journalists = They have a backlog of other games to write about and only so much time to spend for one before they have to write their review.

In a nutshell, they're horrible gamers to trust if a game is good or not.

Well, from what I have heard, the negative things seems to be the controls, and people won't shut-up. I don't mind dialog though, I think it would be better than reading it all.

The controls seems fully customizable, BUT Nintendo did miss their chance with the CPP. That set up is for left handed gamers only. I'm sure I'll play around with the controls to get them to where I like them. Touch screen aiming isn't bad, but it does ignore the right side of the pad though, which means less buttons you can work with. Luckily, It doesn't seem KI uses alot though.

That seems to be one of the only negative reviews I've seen on this game.

No offense, but I would stick to reviewers who review for dedicated gaming sites. I never once thought to check USAToday for Game reviews.

IGN gave it an 8.5/10 (Great)
Eurogamer: 9/10 (Excellent)
Metacritic: 82/100
Pocket Gamer: 8/10
1-Up: B+

Not to mention Famitsu (A Japanese gaming mag that all other reviewers bow down to) gave this a perfect 40/40 and they hardly
ever do that. Now they may have a bit of the home town advantage, but still, I can't see this game being "horrible" or "a huge let down".
It doesn't add up. I will comment on this myself when I receive the game in a few days.

I have a Circle Pad Pro, but I'm going to try it with the stylus first. I really like how this works with other games such as Bit.Trip.Saga and others.

Two other Famitsu 40/40 games
Final Fantasy 12

Famitsu lost their credit long ago.

As for other negative reviews, there's destructoid, GameXplain, gameshark. Yes, those last two are pretty meh, but there's always a few out there.

Try and look at the people before you decide a game and ask them about it instead of those big sites.

The best place to look up game reviews is on Youtube, from common people who just want to share their opinions. For anyone who's interested, I'll have a review up in a few days.

But really, if you've only played the game a few hours, you can't judge the controls so poorly...

I fully agree with you.

Yes I know.. Do you know what Metacritic is? I listed that among the "big sites".
Also, I think it makes more sense to post a link about a game review from gaming sites than from USA Today..., but whatever. Play the game and make up your own mind is what I always do anyway.

And Famitsu Magazine lost 25 years of credit because you don't agree with 2 of their reviews? Really?
