5.0 out of 5 stars This is really cool and is different than others may think!
Most people may be thinking that the five-inch screen is no good for (...) bucks but you're not just getting a tv for your gamecube. The Gamecube Mobile Tv is suppose to have a battery pack with it where you can do anything from playing in the car, to on planes, to in the middle of nowere! Also since it's black lit you can use it at night, unlike you're gameboys. Also...

1.0 out of 5 stars Interact just doesn't match Intec's standards.
This monitor had terrible picture quality. It blurs like crazy. What's worse is that it came with a broken hinge. So I returned this. Later I found out Intec made a monitor (for the same price). So I ordered that one. Here is what I discovered:

This monitor had terrible picture quality. It blurs like crazy. What's worse is that it came with a broken hinge. So I returned this. Later I found out Intec made a monitor (for the same price). So I ordered that one. Here is what I discovered:

Intec Pros:

-High resolution screen (produces clear image) (Even better than a regular TV)
-Light so that it does not pull the GameCube back when you are playing it
-Wonderful sound (much clearer than Interact's)
-Two outlets for earphones

-Built in battery
-High refresh rate

Intec Cons:

-Smaller screen than Interact's (5" vs 5.4")

Interact Pros:

-Bigger screen than Intecs (5.4" vs 5")
-Good sound (not quite as good as Intec's though)

Interact Cons:

-Low resolution screen (Blurry)
-Extremely low refresh rate
-Heavy
-One outlet for earphones
-Must purchase separate battery

The Gamecube Mobile Tv is suppose to have a battery pack with it where you can do anything from playing in the car, to on planes, to in the middle of nowere! Also since it's black lit you can use it at night, unlike you're gameboys. Also since the Gamecube takes less energy than a PS1, the battery life will be longer. However that's not all, it also has AV connections in it. In other words you can connect anything from a DVD player to another game device to it. It also has high quality speakers and earphone slots in it making the gamecube the still the ultimate gaming experience!

4.0 out of 5 stars A Must Have For Gamers On the Go, December 17, 2001

As soon as I heard about this I knew I had to buy it for my GameCube. I tested the Mobile Monitor with my GameCube games, my friends GameCube games, and GameCube games I rented. All the games were awsome on it! There was no problem keeping up with the fast WaveRace and Star Wars Rogue Leader. Super Smash brothers Melee ran just as great. Tony Hawk Pro Skater 3 was one of the best games to use for the Mobile Monitor. The only (minor) problems I came across was Pikmin, difficult to see at some points, but all the detail was there, and Batman Vengence, which was to dark or to light depending on how you adjusted it. The car adapter allows you to play on car trips and the A/V input options allow you to hook things up to a vcr, dvd player, etc. Overall it performs above average.

5.0 out of 5 stars IGNORE THE NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!, December 14, 2001
This review is from: GameCube Mobile Monitor (Jet Black) (Video Game)
I bought this product shortly before the Thanksgiving Holidays so that my daughter would have something to keep her attention during our 8 hour drive to Oklahoma to spend the holidays with the family. Regardless of all the negative reviews, the product more than lives up to its expectations. Heck, I even enjoyed playing on it a few times. The sound was crisp and the graphics clear. You just have to utilize a couple brain cells to learn how to adjust the brightness and contrast. Even my 6 year old daughter was able to make the adjustments on her own, once I showed her where the controls were.

So forget all the negative silliness you've heard and buy this product. You won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars This is the end of boredom in the car, November 26, 2001

I recently picked up a gamecube and a couple of games. I can't get enough of the graphics and hours f fun. Most of the people that read this have or will get a gamecube soon. They will all be hooked. So what are they gonna do when mom announces its time to go to grandma's house which is 500 miles away. This is the answer. You don't have to play your gameboy in the car now. You can enjoy Super Smash Bros. Melee or Luigi's Mansion.

Pros

. Allows you to take your gamecube wherever you want

. Light Weight makes it easy to carry
. Never have to stop playing

Cons

. Small screen
. Cannot play with 4 people at the same time

The reason you will see such variation in the reviews here is because the screens are made of recycled parts. It's kind of hit and miss, but I was lucky. The chic monitor easily snaps on the game cube and amazingly still allows wavebird recievers to be used provided you plug them in after the screen goes on. Connecting it is as easy as with any another TV, you just connect the included specially short AV plug directly to the gamecube. Then you plug the provided car adapter in- one to the lighter, the other end to the monitor and the other to your cube. Turn it on and bam! There you are. It also includes a headphones splitter, a screen AC adapter (to play at an outlet) Overall the screen clarity is pretty good for what I had been expecting. It did need to be centered using the gamecube menu screen align, but it was still pretty good looking. There was a small splotch a little smaller than a pencil eraser that had slightly different brightness, but I think I only noticed it because I am used to my HD Wega. It definately was no reason to return it. The sound is very good, but it's no home theater system. Overall, it's going to LA on my trip!

4.0 out of 5 stars Not too Shabby., May 7, 2002

This review is from: GameCube Mobile Monitor (Jet Black) (Video Game)
I recently picked up one of these screens for my nintendo Gamecube. It is quite nice. If you are one on the road a lot (like me) I would recommend this.
The screen has GREAT sound. All of my PS2 games and Gamecube games come in great. It has a Headphone jack, volume an brightness control, comes with a device that allows you to have more than one console hooked up at once, has AC adaptor and the cigarette lighter one which powers the screen and the Gamecube. It hooks up to every game system and a DVD player and VCR. It has a backlit screen so you can play in the dark, unlike the gameboy screens. It's pretty much a T.V. without cable hook ups.
Now for the picture. The picture is pretty darn good for it's size. Don't expect to see images like on your T.V. or anything but for playing video games it's perfect. I for one am a huge rpg fan and the print comes in well. Only in really dark areas is it hard to see the print. Fighting games come in quite well too. I tryed Tekken Tag Tournament on it and it was surprising that a game moving that fast comes in that well on a small screen.
So if you're a gamer on the go, I'd definetly recommend this screen to you.

This thing is extremely cool. And yes, I have seen this product seeing as own it. The picture is crisp, although there is some initial motion blur, but your eyes will eventually adjust and you will hardly notice it if you do at all. The sound is crisp as well. I have heard people say that they had problems with 4 player split screen, but I hooked up my N64 played 007 with 4 players on it and experienced no problem. Text can be a little difficult to read at times, but not too bad. The battery pack is soon to come and only adds to the coolness of this product. The only bad thing I have to say about this product is that it is going to cause me to neglect my Gameboy Advance!

1.0 out of 5 stars Good Idea-Bad Design, February 2, 2002

This review is from: GameCube Mobile Monitor (Jet Black) (Video Game)
I Got one of these screens and I was really excited! Only, that when I opened the box... The hinge fell off, then when I hooked it up, there were lines through the screen. I found out at the place I bought the screen 70% of the screens are defective. I the tried out Intec's Product and found it to be much better, even though the screen is a little bit smaller. On a scale from one to 10 I would give this screen-1.
