This is an excellent deal. It comes with the standard Gamecube, only colored in a special edition platinum color. It comes with two standard controllers that are also colored platinum. As far as I know, the only way to get a platinum colored controller is to buy it with a platinum Gamecube.

This bundle comes with the muchly-anticipated Metroid Prime, which promises to be one of the best video games this holiday season.

One thing to point out about this bundle, however is that the Gamecube, plus the extra controller, and Metroid Prime game add up to the same price as buying the products individually. I would personally rather buy a platinum Gamecube (sold separately), Metroid Prime, and a Wavebird wireless Gamecube controller. but this is just an opinion.

If you buy this product, I am sure you will think it is well-worth your money, especially because of all the blockbuster games that are coming out soon exclusively for Gamecube.

P.S. Don't forget to buy a memory card!

The gamecube is a great system, probably the best one out there. It is also the cheapest of the new consoles (Gamecube/ Playstation2, Xbox), which is a plus. Metroid Prime is also one of my favorite games for any system. The platinum color is also a very nice touch.
I find it strange how Nintendo is offering package deals such as this when you don't save any money over buying each piece seperately. The bundle comes with:
-The system (and TV and power cables) plus a controller
-A Platinum controller
-Metroid Prime game
One other thing to know - YOU MUST BUY A MEMORY CARD SEPERATELY Amazon.com sells the Memory Card 251, so make sure you get one, because Metroid, like almost ever other Gamecube game needs a memory card.

The best graphics, best sound, best pirce and best titles!. Whith it 164Mhz graphic processor Nintendo has produced the best console ever!. You can get cool titles such as Mario Sunshine, Mario Party 4 and Metroid Prime that you cant get in other consoles. However the only thing that dissapointed me was that it doesnt includes DVD player. The 1º reason to buy Nintendo's Gamecube is it has the coollest titles (Although it doesnt includes GTA series games), 2º reason the controllers are comfortable and you get used to them very fast and 3º reason the best graphics!
Firstly I thought of buying the Xbox but I realised that it was a waste money, so I bought the Gamecube.
Buy it its a great console! Don't waste money on the Xbox or PS2!

This became the most popular gift that I purchased for my son this Christmas. It had everything that he wanted: The Metroid Prime Game, a Platinum console, and two additional platinum controllers. It was a good value, and also ordering is so easy. This is a good way to go if you are interested in GameCube--and it seems it is unique to Amazon.com. And for the memory card, you can pick from a wide selection one that best suites you. The bundle was perfect for us.

This was the only place I could find the Metroid Prime Game Set. No running around, waiting in long lines. Delivery was quick. Will shop here again!

Reasons why GameCube is the best system out there:

Reliability: GameCube is the most reliable system. I have never heard anyonbe complain that their GC, like the PS2 and X-Box, freezes or has problems reading games. Never. Maybe its because the GameCube does not have a built-in DVD player to slow it down . . . 4/5

Games: Nintendo is known for having the funest, most legendary games on the market. Classics like Zelda, Mario and Starfox are great on the new, more powerful system. Plus, whoever says GameCube games are for kids, just look at all the Future Releases coming for the GameCube. This arent your father's favorite games. 4.5/5

Graphics: Simply put, GameCube has some of the best graphics of any system out there. I know, i know, all of you X-Box groupies are gonna have my head and all but its the truth. I've played an X-Box, and i must say most X-Box games seem to have the same graphics as GC titles do. Plus, with the X-Box and PS2, as I've stated before the built-in DVD players slow down the consoles and blur the graphics until the day you recieve the dreaded "unable to read disk" message and have to spend another $180 on a replacment model. 4/5

Overall: GameCube, although it looks like the small, nerdy kid in your math class, is one of the most powerful systems out there. It has the best games, X-Box quality graphics, and is the most reliable system out of the three. Nintendo is truly the way to go.

Gamecube has great graphics! It is 10 times as good as
sexbox. It has graet games too.
and it also has 128mb memmory cards.Pluss it has cool controls.

Well this has blown me away over the past two months. My friend bought a Gamecube specifically for Metriod and after Playing for an hour I was hooked and I knew that I had to get this bundle pack cause the Platinum is just that, The Platinum. So after juggling the desision of the One Controller and Bonus MP2E Demo Disk and the Two Controller and just Metriod Prime I had to go with the Two Controller cause how else are you going to have Two Platinum Controllers to enjoy with your friends. Just too bad that after waiting and waiting I got My Present and I got a Bonus Disk instead of My #2 Platinum Controller. I love the System and will be a Metriod fan from here on out but For the money and what I got I personally feel that this is a total rip.

Yeah, this game is amazing. I've played it in a cube club and store demos. It is truly a sweet game. The gameplay was amazing and I still felt like it was a Metroid game even though it was first person. Yes, Samus still has the morph ball ability and when you switch the camera changes and is no longer first person. The graphics are great and they even incorporate some of the original sounds of Metroid for the NES (I should know I have every Metroid game). I am a huge fan of Metroid and I feel Retro did a great job switching from the original 2D side scroller format. Any true Metroid fan would buy this game and if you don't already have a GC (what's wrong with you?) I highly suggest buying this package. I need a second gamecube and I've heard the Platinum GC is very nice. I've got an insider in Nintendo and she told me it's tight. I plan on getting this GC and a platinum GBA to match. Pre-Order this now!

This is the best bundle yet for the Nintendo GameCube. It includes the Platinum GameCube, an extra controller, and Metroid Prime. Metroid Prime is going to be one of the best games for GameCube. This is a great gift to get someone for Christmas.
