4.0 out of 5 stars Good, but not Nintendo quality., February 26, 2009

It seems you get what you pay for. This controller is as described and works well, but compared to the OEM Nintendo Wavebird, it just doesn't have the same feel. At half the price as a used Wavebird here on Amazon, it's still probably worth it.

It's much lighter, so it feels kind of cheap. The on off switch looks like something you buy at RadioShack for a science fair project. The buttons also do not have as good tactile feedback. They just don't 'press' the same way as a genuine Nintendo controller. Best example of this is the L and R shoulder buttons. Nintendo's depress a bit and then click down a notch at the end. With this one it's arguable if there's a click at the end. The Z button also feel awkward and makes a loud click sound (almost like a computer mouse) versus Nintendo's softer feel and dull thud.

For most games this shouldn't make a difference, as you can get used to it. But if you're a hardcore Super Smash Bros. player, I'm not sure I would recommend this for you. For $20, I'm giving it 4 stars.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great, September 11, 2008

This product is great. It has great range and i can sit anywhere and just play. I like not having to deal with the chords or have to sit as close, i got this for my wii and it goes along great!
Could not be happier with it.

2.0 out of 5 stars good, but not the best, April 26, 2009

The Psyclone GameCube Wireless Controller gets the job done, but it is by far not the best Wireless GameCube controller I've used. Firstly, there isn't a light on the controller that shows you whether or not it is connected to the port in your Wii, or GameCube. Secondly, the on/off switch is tiny... so tiny it's hard to switch and even more difficult to see whether or not it is in the on or off position (again, there isn't a light that indicates whether or not the unit is on). I wish this controller was easier to connect to the port... usually takes 30s to a minute to connect and most times I don't even know if it's trying to connect. Other than that it plays great and feels like it is solidly put together.
