It seems you get what you pay for. This controller is as described and works well, but compared to the OEM Nintendo Wavebird, it just doesn't have the same feel. At half the price as a used Wavebird here on Amazon, it's still probably worth it.
It's much lighter, so it feels kind of cheap. The on off switch looks like something you buy at RadioShack for a science fair project. The buttons also do not have as good tactile feedback. They just don't 'press' the same way as a genuine Nintendo controller. Best example of this is the L and R shoulder buttons. Nintendo's depress a bit and then click down a notch at the end. With this one it's arguable if there's a click at the end. The Z button also feel awkward and makes a loud click sound (almost like a computer mouse) versus Nintendo's softer feel and dull thud. For most games this shouldn't make a difference, as you can get used to it. But if you're a hardcore Super Smash Bros. player, I'm not sure I would recommend this for you. For $20, I'm giving it 4 stars.

This product is great. It has great range and i can sit anywhere and just play. I like not having to deal with the chords or have to sit as close, i got this for my wii and it goes along great!
Could not be happier with it.

The Psyclone GameCube Wireless Controller gets the job done, but it is by far not the best Wireless GameCube controller I've used. Firstly, there isn't a light on the controller that shows you whether or not it is connected to the port in your Wii, or GameCube. Secondly, the on/off switch is tiny... so tiny it's hard to switch and even more difficult to see whether or not it is in the on or off position (again, there isn't a light that indicates whether or not the unit is on). I wish this controller was easier to connect to the port... usually takes 30s to a minute to connect and most times I don't even know if it's trying to connect. Other than that it plays great and feels like it is solidly put together.

i bought this controller to play the gamecube paper mario thousand year door on my wii. It worked perfectly for about 100 hours. I had to change the batteries at about 50-60 hours of gameplay. When I reached the final level, it just stopped connecting to the receiver. I've tried new batteries, resetting the console and going to the manufacturer's website.
it just doesn't work. save your money and get something a little better made.

For playing with Super Smash Bro this seriously is not good enough. I wish I had spent my money on something more expensive. The rubber that covers over the thumbstick came off after maybe 10 hours of playing, so now there's no grip for the thumb. I'll maybe superglue it back when I have time. But with so much trouble I do not recommend this controller if you plan to use it often.

This is an affordable product that allows you to play your GameCube games on your Wii. Works like a dream from accross the room. Double your fun and get a couple of these for your Wii. Don't be limited by the cord any longer.

4.5- QUALITY for the making and design, one prolem is when you shake it it rattles because of the "Loose" buttons.
4.8- Response, but I have lots of things at 2.4 ghz frequency. 5- Weight and size, it is quite light, and it is not too small! Almost the same as the real one! 4.7- Buttons, like other review the L and R buttons feel like they were not being pressed. Z makes a cliking nose but not that loud! 5- Extras! This controller has a turbo button!! It is very useful for games that use lots of tapping, Eg Paper Mario N64 and the Thousand Year Door as well. Overall, 4.8, Not bad at all! I hope the hip interactives frecency will not mess it up since I only se both at multiplayer! All this was tested using a Wii!

This controller did not work properly. The controls did not always move the character in the desired direction, so I had to return them. They may have been defective but in any event they did not work. My children are in college and are experienced users, so I think they are reliable raters.

I just want to start by saying that there are instructions included with the product. No its not simple to sync but there is an instruction book included. This product works as a wireless controller. That is all that is good. It feels cheap, there is some rattle inside of mine, the d-pad feels awful. By cheap I mean the plastic feels like something you could buy at the 99cents store. It is too light and... look its not a great controller and I would recommend buying the used wave bird online. Other than that I got mine at target for $15 and only plan to let guests use it. I got a wave bird for myself. So if you play Brawl or Meele (super smash bros.) Then get the Wave bird. If you want to play with someone who wont mind a cheap controller than buy this for them to use or just let them use the nun chuck or classic controller.

We bought this "wireless" controller thinking it would be a great option for playing the Gamecube. Unfortunately, the product did not work. There is no receiver at the top or front of the controller, meaning that it cannot communicate wirelessly with the t.v. We tried multiple times to push "start" or "A" to see if the t.v. would register the controller, despite the controller not having a receiver, but nothing would happen. We were VERY disappointed with the product and what seemed like a scheme of a sale, and would not recommend the product or the seller.
