I love Game Boy Color just as much as anyone else who owns it. It's easy to carry around, has great, high quality games, a sharper screen, and good use of color. I also own a Neo Geo Pocket, and even though it is a better system, it needs two different kinds of batteries, and all the games get old really fast. This system only needs two AA batteries, and they last a good amount of time. The only bad thing about this system is this particular color. I like the color red, and I jumped at the opportunity to get this Berry Red system. But when I brought it places, I kept getting made fun of, because the system actually turned out to be a perfect shade of pink instead. I would definetly buy this system, just not in this color.

Gameboy Color is great. It has great color and has great games to play. It is Defintly worth the price you pay becuase kids cant put the thing down!

The Game Boy Color is a must have for any true fan! Not only are games now in color but the images are sharper and the sound has improved. I would suggest purchasing a different color console though if you are a male. Although the title of it says "Berry", it is more like a hot pink. It can be a bit awkward with such an unusual color for a boy to have but the features of the console itself far outweigh that detail. The only thing that I could find was missing from the Game Boy Color was a contrast adjustment. Unlike the traditional Game Boy, you are now unable to adjust the darkness/lightness of the screen. I sometimes find myself struggling to view the contents of the screen but it isn't that much of a problem. I definetly suggest that you buy the Game Boy Color, you won't regret it!

Game Boy Color is absolutely fabulous. It's compact, and has a wide variety of games to purchase. Game Boy Color comes handy especially on long trips in the car with nothing to do, because this gives you something to do! The fact that it's in color is great, and that it comes in neat colors is great, too. It's definetly worth every penny.

This is the best game boy ever. The color is great and it has so many differnt games to choose from. Also you can take it anywhere because it is portable. I don't think thers one con about a gameboy color.If you don'y have one buy one immidently

Not only is it easy to carry around, it also has a great selection of games too. I had gotten one a little while ago and I loved it. It doesn't take much batteries which is good and it is handy on vacation trips. It's worth getting and you should get one too because it's really fun to use anytime at all.

DO NOT BUY FROM DEAD TREE. HE WILL SELL YOU A BROKE ITEM THEN NOT ANSWER YOU WHEN YOU CONTACT HIM TO TELL HIM. THEN LIES AN SAYS HE NEVER GOT YOUR LETTER ARE HE WILL SAY I REPLIED TO THAT. DEADTREE IS A CROOK. I BOUGHT A GAMEBOY ADVANCE FOR MY SONS 6TH B-DAY FROM DEADTREE. IT CAME I PUT IT AWAY IN MY OFFICE SAFE UNTIL HIS B-DAY 4 WEEKS LATER. I GAVE IT TO HIM AND TOOK HIM THE NEXT DAY TO BUY GAMES. WHEN WE TURNED IT ON IT ONLY SAID GAMEBOY. I CONTACT DEADTREE TO TELL HIM I ENT IT BACK AND NO REPLY WAIT 2 DAYS STILL NO REPLY. I SEND ANOTHER LETTER BOTH NICE AN RESPECTFUL.WAIT 5 DAYS NO REPLY. SO I SEND HIM A BIT NASTY ONE TELLING HIM HOW WRONG HE WAS FOR NOT RESPONDING AN MESSING UP A CHILDS B-DAY.THE SAME DAY HE REPLYED AN SAID HE RESOPNED TO THE FIRST ONE SAYING SEND IT BACK HE WILL REPLACE IT(lie)AN HE HAD BEEN OUT OF TOWN AN DIDNT LIKE HOW I TALKED TO HIM.I SAID JUST SEND THE NEW ONE I KNOW THE BROKE ONE IS THERE BY NOW. NO REPLY.WAITED 4 DAYS. ANOTHER LETTER,7 DAYS NO REPLY. I SENT ANOTHER MEAN LETTER AN SURE AS WATER IS WET HE REPLYED IN HOURS SAYING DONT MAIL HIM ANY MORE.LIKE I'M WRONG. SO I CONTACTED AMAZON AND THEY GIVE NE THE MONEY BACK AND HE LIED ON THE REVIEW AN SAID HE GAVE IT BACK

I love this Game Boy! It is so fun! If you don't like pink (And it is very pink) you can always just get another color!

My daughter wanted a handheld game console so we bought it. She's only 2 but the images on it are not good. You really can't see a great picture.

I was reading that a lot of people are going back to the more traditional handheld systems, ie early Gameboy models, and I remembered how much I loved my own. I haven't been able to put it down since it arrived! I got mine used, which is definitely the way to go. Yes, most of the used Gameboys have minor wear and tear, but to pay for a brand new one.. well you're just wasting your money. Some of the reviews about the Berry color said they thought it would be more red - I'm actually surprised it's not more pink! I thought it would be closer to the item's image color on this listing, but when mine arrived, it was actually a shade or two darker. So if you want a bold red color, I'm afraid this will be close but no cigar. On the other hand, if you're like me, and enjoy pink, then go for it!

For those who've never owned a Gameboy Color before, it doesn't have the best screen resolution, or that large of a color palette. It was made in 1998, so a lot of consoles nowadays have more resolution and a much more varied color scheme. It is a little gem of the past and shouldn't be berated for "outdated" things that we take for granted. The system runs on two AA batteries that seem to last forever. Volume goes up to a reasonable level, and there is a headphone jack on the bottom for those who like to use earbuds and such.

Overall, I absolutely love this product. I would recommend buying a few games, definitely Pokemon, and for the classic gamer, Tetris and Super Mario. Nothing can replace a classic treasure like this, especially at a low price like some of the used ones.
