I am an occupational therapist and have seen kids both in schools and in their homes and this is a wonderful tool. Kids can get sensory input as well as working on strengthening and motor planning. It's safe, it's portable, and kids eyes light up when I bring it into a room. My own kids also love it. My only caveat is that it should be used only under adult supervision as kids have a tendency to try to stand on it or can roll it over someone's fingers if they aren't paying attention.

It's ok....The handles (underneath) hurt my daughters fingers after she has gripped it for a few minutes....so we had to wrap ace bandages around them to create some cushion. I think a smaller child would probably like it better than my 7 yr old. I wish I had seen that Amazon actually sells a a wider version (16 inches vs. 12 inches). The picture of the teen girls is a bit deceiving, I couldn't imagine a teen finding this fun unless they were going down a hill.

My daughter's school has these scooters that they sometimes use in PE. She's been asking for one for a long time. It is very sturdy and the wheels swivel great.

These were a real hit. My niece said they were her second favorite gift of the holiday season - and that is saying something.

They are exactly the same scooters that you find at gym classes around the country (or did years ago). They have the same perks and flaws. Sturdy-seeming swivels, wheels that roll, built to last, but at some point they will need replacing. IMO, minimal supervision is required.

They slide well on linoleum, the hard wood, and around the cult-a-sac. A great way to get the kids active and playing. Now all we need is a parachute...

Recommend without reservation. (the lack of the final star is because I am certain with heavy use they will need to be replaced within, say, 18-36 months, but I will change my review if they last beyond that.)

I bought this for my 13 (almost 14 year old son). He has autism and there are so few toys and things that he likes.
He actually plays on one of thes axact scooter boards at middle school so I know he will love this for his Birthday this summer.

Our 5 year old who has sensory issues loves this. We have wood floors in our house so he is on his belly pulling himself around all over the place. Great for core strength building and forces him to keep his head up which strengthens the mouth muscles as he used to be a big drooler and know this helped in strengthening the neck muscles.

I am just a little disappointment that I could not choose the colour. I bought this for my nephew and when it came it was the purple one.

This is a great product. The handles are safely away from the wheels, the plastic is nice and sturdy, and the wheels are secured well so that tiny fingers won't get trapped. Just like the one we use in therapy at a fraction of the usual price. Great product!!!
