NOW...one of the controllers won't allow anything to be directed to the left. So, unless you like moving in circles to the right all day, this thing is useless. I just tossed it in the garbage. I might be able to understand if we used it a lot, but my two girls are very gentle with the things and we rarely use the gamecube controllers as they prefer to use the Wii controllers.

Wish I could get my money back for the crappy thing.

I bought 3 of these. One I used MUCH more roughly than the others, and the little pad on the control stick ripped slightly. Used the other two a lot too, and they have held up just fine. Overall great product, good pricing. Thanks!

Considering the low cost of these controllers, they are good quality, the plastic case is heavy and rigid, surfacing is a low lustre micro texture finish, the sticks response is not quite as progressive as a Nintendo controller,the button switches have a lighter action, due to being very inexpensive membrane switches, I do like the positive spring return on the L and R shoulder toogles. Overall, I am quite impressed, especially considering that a Nintendo produced controller at Amazon.ca is $49 in Canada. I bought four, because they are a good buy from a 3rd party manufacturer and retailer that offer both competitive pricing and performance. Will it last forever? Nothing does... but I hope to get several hundred hours, playing my favourite games; Killer 7, Viewful Joe 2 and PNO3.

This item worked properly for about twenty hours of gameplay. Then, it began to act the way the old wired controllers react if you boot the system with the joystick bent to one side--characters randomly walk in a given direction, etc. Removing the batteries and putting them back in sometimes would interrupt this for a little while, but the condition always returned. I would never buy anything made by this company again. Too much money for too little return.

Exactly what we needed. We were trying to play the old gamecube games on our wii with the classic style controller and struggling with it. This combo paddle plugs into the top of the wii and works perfect. The only real flaw is that it's not wireless like the other wii controllers. This is minor, though, and for less than $3 it can't be beat. Also, for those who care, it was black and not purple when it arrived.

This product works great and I will continue to buy from Amazon based on my overall satisfaction.

I got this item because it was very cheap and looked exactly like the original Game Cube controller. I thought "Well, even though it is a 3rd party controller it is still brand new, cheap, and is identical to the original. I'm sure it'll last a few years." BOY WAS I WRONG!!!! I seriously played with this thing for, no joke, less than 5 hours of game play. It was good while it lasted, but once my character started running in only one direction I knew I wasted my money. I tried setting it down and picking it up an hour later just to make sure it was completely done with. Turns out my character started running in the other direction (opposite from where he was originally running). It's a piece of junk! And I originally thought that maybe some people were just rough with their controller and that's why it got some bad reviews, but no. I am very gentle with all my stuff and it broke already.

I should also mention that this 3rd party controller is not as comfortable as the official controller because you need to press some of the buttons harder than others to get a response.

LISTEN TO THE ONE STAR REVIEWS EVERYONE!!!! SAVE YOUR MONEY AND BUY THE "OFFICIAL" GAME CUBE CONTROLLERS THAT SAY "NINTENDO" ON THE FRONT OF THEM! AT LEAST THEY WILL LAST FOR A FEW YEARS AND THE BUTTONS AND ANALOG STICK RESPOND BETTER!

Got two of these controller. they worked fine at first. thought they were great. 2 months later they are both broken. Ether I got two bad controllers, or its just a bad product. buyer beware.

If you want a cheap alternative to a gamecube controller that will only last about a month, you're in luck. If you want one that will last longer than that, however, this is not for you.

Mine started going wonky by periodically shocking me. At first I thought it was just static electricity but it soon became clear that it was, in fact, the controller. Either that or I have the amazing ability to create enough charge to set off seven or eight shocks in a matter of fifteen minutes, but only when holding the controller.

I must be a stubborn cuss, because I kept using it until it suddenly lost the ability to turn left. At that point it became kind of a challenge to see if I could play my game with no left turns. I was just starting to become impressed with my ingenuity when the right turn ability gave out as well. It is now literally impossible to use it to play my game. Plus I'm really sick of getting shocked.

So there you have it from the ultimate cheapo-- I've given this thing every shot you could ask for and it's plain old not worth it no matter how cheap you are. You would be far better off buying a used controller actually made by Nintendo than a brand new one of these. Avoid a waste of money and steady stream of electrical shocks-buy the original.

I bought this controller so I could play Gamecube games on the Wii. I was skeptical of the quality due to the very low price. But how surprised I was to find that this controller feels exactly like an official Nintendo product! It is exactly the same quality as the real Gamecube controllers. Do not pay 5 times the price for a new Nintendo product, this thing is every bit as good! I promise you can't tell a difference other than there is no Nintendo logo anywhere on it :)
