I have loved playing this game in parties. If you have friends who are reasonably willing to make jokes with each other and to speak on short notice then this is a great game. You don't have to know who the characters are as there is a brief description at the bottom of each card but you can also ask someone. I have never laughed as hard as when I had to defend JFK vs. Nelson Mandela at rapping. My opponent pointed out that Mandela spent all of those years in prison giving him the edge over a privileged white guy and I lost the battle. Yet there are so many hilarious combinations that the game never gets old. Give it a try. I have the original version of the game but this version is more compact. I got it for some friends of mine and I love both versions.

It's a great game. I bought it only so that I could get a compact set of ideas so that I could create my own game in Spanish for my students.
I waaaay overpaid. If I had read the description carefully, I would have realized that this was only two little stacks of cards... no sort of board to accompany the game, very minimalistic. I love the idea, but I wasted $40 on this. Don't make the same mistake! If you can buy this for $12 or less, go ahead, but don't spend any more than that! I suggest buying blank cards (http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B007MPO8IQ/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o00_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1) and just making your own cards!

This game has been on my list since my introduction to it last year, though I'm still on the fence whether I'll order it sooner or later. I am pretty sure that it was this game that got the cops called on last year's Thanksgiving party. To be quite fair, everyone was at least tipsy. We abandoned the timer pretty early on, and starting from the judge, built up the courtroom theme a little more, with the barristers calling on witnesses to testify in what became perfect cacophony with a sort of Phoenix Wright feel. The barristers took turns until the judge decided to call the final round. There was shouting and much reference to wikipedia on people's phones. I was not previously aware that a card game could generate a noise complaint.

Let me start by saying I don't own this game personally but a friend does, he brings it to a hookah bar we regularly go to and everyone gets into it. People that didn't even come with us get into it, we get usually 6-8 people debating back fourth. If you like debating even remotely or like having any kind of fun this is that game for you. It's best to be played with at least 5 or more people odd people helps when it's a tie. I will be purchase in this in the next week, just because in want my own set to bring to parties and social events, it's a great Ice breaker as well. I've meet a couple new friends just because they started playing this with us.
