Our family has really enjoyed this game! My daughter recieved it for her 8th birthday from the daughter of a toy shop owner, and it really hit the mark. Everyone from Dad (who is not an indoor game enthusiast) to the 4 year old loves playing this game, and even the 2 year old has been heard to mutter "Stop, thief!" on occasion. It is also a game our 13 year old takes to babysitting jobs and the kids all love to play it with her. I don't know if it is academically educational, but it sure develops hand-eye coordination and memory skills.

I bought this game based solely on the recommendations of other people who own it and wrote positive reviews on this website. I dont have children so it's hard for me to pick out games. I sent this game to a 6 yr old relative and I heard back from his mother that he loves it, even took it with them on their vacation. She said the cards are getting a little dog-eared from so many games. They should make a better set with plastic coating on the cards, the paper cardboard wont hold up for many years but at that age not much survives anyway. He's already lost a card but the game goes on. She appreciates a game that she can play with him and enjoy it herself without getting too bored. There's something about the speed of the game that really appeals to this little boy. He loves to slap his hand on the deck, gives him great pride when he wins a round. So that was one gift that was a winner.

My kids, ages 5 and 9, both have a blast playing the game. We use the advanced rules for the older child. In very short order, the kids start winning. We even find people like to be spectators when you are playing. I also like the durable well-sized box the cards come in, making it easy for the kids to put away when finished playing. It's right-sized for taking along on a vacation, but probably not to play in the car.

I bought this game because it reminded me of something I had played as a child. I have 3 nieces and 3 nephews and they all love to play Slamwich. I try to find games with some sort of educational purpose. Slamwich involves counting, memorization and a quick sandwich slapping hand!

This fast and fun game is perfect for 5-7 year olds and focuses on their favorites- different sandwich combinations in a fast moving card game! Our family has enjoyed the sickening combinations- and laughed at our memory of the other sandwich ingredients! We highly recommend it for trips, hotels, and any place else where you need a small game with a big laugh! You'll never wonder what to make for lunch again!

I gave this game to my 5-year-old as a "stocking stuffer" and was surprised how quickly she could master it's concept. This is a fun, fast, and engaging game that requires quick visual processing and a fast response; perfect for energetic Kindergartners! Matching, sequencing, and patterns are apparent in the game and the pace is quick and lively! No wonder this game won awards! Highly recommended! Fun for a large group or small.

I bought this game for my seven year old son last year. Not only does he enjoy playing it but my husband and I will occasionally play it after our son has gone to bed. The rules are pretty simple and the game only requires memory and speed so our son actually has a pretty fair chance of winning. My son especially likes the thief cards. What I like about this game is that it isn't boring for adults to play and isn't something my son will quickly outgrow. We've had the game for a year and it's still a favorite with my son.

We bought this game for christmas two years ago and have played it ever since. I run a small home based preschool and find that the four year old class really seems to enjoy this game as much as my older children. Sometimes they get confused and slam on the wrong pictures but that adds to the fun. If you like card games this is for you. For preschool use I have had to laminate the cards as they keep getting chewed on but for normal home use you should have tons of enjoyment.

This game is a lot of fun as you are trying to be the player to hold all the cards. Cards are won by being the first player to slap the card pile as certain combinations come up. You have to have a good memory because each card is played on top of the previous one so you have to remember the previous 2 or 3 cards to know when to slap the pile and win all the cards. The action gets fast and furious as players take turns piling up cards waiting for the correct sequence to fall and when it does watch out because hands will be flying to slam those cards. ... Any way a great game for all ages with good reflexes being essential.

I bought Slamwich for my four-year-old granddaughter. It didn't take her too long to learn the rules, and this game allows Grandma to have quality time and relaxation simultaneously. It's a good game for the young ones.
