I have an older version of this game that I use in counseling/social skills groups at an elementary school. I am always looking for games that keep everyone engaged and actively involved, and Slamwich fits the bill perfectly. The kids absolutely love it, especially when the "sandwiches" are disgusting (e.g., peanut butter and onions). And, even though the game is theoretically competitive (the player to get all the cards wins), the kids usually enjoy the game play so much that they share their cards with anyone who runs out. Great fun, and very entertaining!

I got this for my daughter when she was 10 and it has been one of her favorite games ever since. It's even fun for the whole family ( 13 & 15 year old even like it). Good game!

This is a fun and unique card game, but not as spectacular as most of the reviews suggest.
Pros: Plastic coated cards are durable Card pictures and colors are vibrant and some have an added sparkle to them making them very pretty Lunch box tin is small, cute, and a great way to neatly store the cards A lot more rules than I anticipated, but still easy enough game for my 3 1/2 year-old to play with a little help Cons: This is NOT a 20 min. game - it can go on FOREVER! I recommend just setting a time limit rather than playing until someone owns all of the cards. Cards are meant to be flipped rapidly so no one gets a sneak peek; unfortunately, my 3 1/2, 6, and 9 year-old cannot flip the cards over that fast, and so they always see what their card is before anyone else, and thus always slap first if they already know that they have a winning card. Kids argue over who slapped first, then cry when they lose all their cards No real educational value Just not as fun as we thought it would be Rat-a-Tat-Cat is one of our very favorites - even for the adults!
