What a fun game! My kids, as well as the adults love to play this game. It offers great interaction as well as an opportunity to increase one's vocabulary. You utilize roots of words, prefixes, suffixes, etc. Younger children, than 8 yrs, can also play utilizing only 2 cards; which gets them started on appreciating that words can be fun.

When we have a few spare minutes in my 8th Language Arts class, this is the game my students demand. We've completely worn out three sets in two years. It works for groups of kids gathered around a table, or for the entire class with me flipping the cards out on the deck of my overhead projector. I lay three cards out, give them 15 seconds to write down as many words as they can on a sheet of paper, then lay out three new ones. As the year goes on, students can spot more and more words in every new combination. Vocabulary scores are going through the roof. I'm buying three new sets today!

Did you ever play the "Licence Plate Game" while traveling in your car? Taking the three letters presented on the plate and trying to be the first to come up with a word that had those three letters in it. Same concept here, without many of the harder letters found on licence plates today (q, x, y, z ... those letters are in the game but don't come up that often). The price tag seems a bit high, as it is basically a deck of cards with letters on them (one upside-down so if you are playing around a table it can be viewed easily by all). You could make your own cards... but ... variations on game play change the level of difficulty (simply finding a word that has all three letters in it vrs. having to keep the letters in order, the word having to start with the first letter, etc.) Drop to two cards to make it really simple.

Our family likes this game very much. It's a fast moving game which makes the players be creative with words. It's challenging enough to be interesting and fast enough to keep everyone involved.

Fun - easy to adjust the rules for adults so that they can play with kids and all enjoy it. Good for 10 years +. Love the speed of the game. A great game.

This game is fantastic! You need a kid who is old enough for a decent vocabulary (and can spell), but not much more than that. We play this all the time as a family and our kids break this game out on play dates (the true test of a good game). It is quick enough you only need about 10 minutes to get one game in but addictive enough you can play all afternoon.

I would recommend you pick it up right now.
