I stumbled onto this game at a local store. Being a roller derby girl I had to have it. I gave it to my derby wife for Christmas and we had a blast playing it. It was a bit confusing for us to figure out the rules. By the time we finished the first game we had it down. It may be tricky for kids to understand at first. In fact the box says ages 8+ on it and I'm thinking of getting another one for my soon to be 8 year old to give it a try. I think she and her friends would probably enjoy it.

This is a novel idea, and a little confusing to the kids at first, but once they get the hang of it, they love it. They like pushing odds, probability and taking bears from each other more than taking them from the ice! They do get to practice some math skills totalling bears at the end of the game, but it isn't really focused on education. It is mainly a cute concept game for fast fun and it would be easy to play on the go, if they put a bag with it like ThinkFun does with many of their games this could be great for trips.
