5.0 out of 5 stars Nice case
Building a new machine and was looking for a solid case to build it in. Few things I was looking for:

3.0 out of 5 stars Some irritating attributes
This case is cool looking, no doubt. And it's easy to install stuff, plenty of room, etc. What I don't like:

1) Case fans are not speed controlled (that's just plain cheap)
2) The front panel audio/USB are at the very bottom of the case; pretty inconvenient even if you put it on your desk.
3) Clearly it's cheaply made stamped steel... which is fine,...

5.0 out of 5 stars Nice case, August 1, 2010

Building a new machine and was looking for a solid case to build it in. Few things I was looking for:

1. Overall design of the case. I didn't want anything too complicated or flashy, but I didn't want something boring either. I liked the simplistic, yet stylish look of this case. Not an overly complicated design, just the subtle glow on the front and side to show off the futuristic design.

2. Expansion capabilities. I wanted something that could house a good number of drives. This one features room for 4 hidden hard drives, 4 external 5.25" bays, and 2 external 3.5" bays. Plenty of enough for my needs.

3. Layout and design of the interior. This case comes with (2) 120mm fans pre-installed. One on the front of the case which pulls air through the hidden hard drive enclosure, one on the back blowing out. With the inclusion of an optional fan in the side, the airflow is fairly solid inside this case. It also leaves plenty of room for larger video cards, although you may need to set your hard drives in the lower slots if the card is over 10-11" long.

4. As many others have mentioned, this case is made of steel and seems to be very sturdy.

Overall, I am very satisfied with this case. I have zero complaints as of yet.

It is pretty cool looking, my 9 year old loves it (he picked it out for his first ever PC build).

2.0 out of 5 stars Power button broke, January 5, 2011
This review is from: Xion AXP 100 Gaming Series Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail (Black/Blue) (Personal Computers)
I used this case for my first PC build in July of 2010. On a different website it had mostly positive reviews and it was visually appealing so I got it. I did not use that Computer often (less than twice a week) and even then I had it in sleep mode so I did not press the Power button every time I powered my PC on. In less than six months the power button broke with infrequent usage, now I have to buy another case.

When it became unusable, the button twisted at an odd angle and would not spring back out of the front panel as usual. I tried to fix it, but my attempts failed. I am not the only person with this problem.

It was a nice case while it lasted, but because of the frequent button failure with other buyers I cannot recommend this case.

1.0 out of 5 stars Cheaply made garbage. Don't waste your time, December 8, 2011

This review is from: Xion AXP 100 Gaming Series Steel ATX Mid Tower Computer Case - Retail (Black/Blue) (Personal Computers)
I've been building PC's for probably 15 years now, for myself, for friends, and let me tell you, this is THE worst case I've ever run across. Why, you ask? Here's just a quick few reasons
#1: The 'case' is so cheaply made, it literally bends out of shape. First time I've EVER had a problem putting a board plate in, ever.
#2: They supply less than half the needed mounting screws. You'd better have extras, because these don't even come CLOSE to cutting it.
#3: The 'power button' is a cheaply made toy. Yup, a nice shiny piece of plastic, designed to break quick enough, IF it even makes it to you functioning (mine did not)
#4: No PSU (I guess that's a good thing, considering they'd try to pawn off a cheap one as well)
#5: The rest of the case (front USB, etc), cheap plastic, designed to fall off quicker than anything

Yes, I realize this is a 'cheap' case, but for $50, I expect a little bit more than massive frustration, non functioning parts, cheaply made crap. This one's going back.

The fans are cheap. The USB/Audio door is poorly located AND it broke. It does not light up like in the picture. The LEDs in the drive door fell out of place. The piano black finish scratches easily. The steel is thin and flimsy. Blah, blah, blah, yackitty smackitty. Despite all these flaws, this case is AWESOME. It was for my 6 year old's first build. There is a lot of room inside. We put in LED memory fans, cold compact florescent lights, liquid cooling system with led fans, and a 12" Spider Man tangled up in all the wires. This thing looks wild, and the kid loves it. You can get better cases, but they cost more. This thing is a bargain and it looks like it fell from a UFO. Great case for a kid, as long as he/she's not rough with it. I got my 9 year old daughter a different Xion case, and she loves hers too. All hail Xion, lord of the kid cases!

This case is trash total trash and that's where it's sitting right now in my trash can. The fancy power button broke in one gentle touch. Fell right into the computer bay. The case didn't come without enough mount screws...not at all. The wiring is cheap and will snap under the slightest amount of stress. Go to cool masters and get a case their don't buy Xion products.

When the case arrived case seemed very flimsy. Also upon turning the power on for the system the on/off button jammed and would not release. SEnt it back to the company.
