My grandson is 3 years old and we gave him a tennis racquet for Christmas (yes, his grandfather is a tennis player). I was not looking for balls like this but when I saw them I thought they might work well for a 3 year old. Our daughter loves them because he can play with the racquet and balls in the house without worrying about breaking anything. Perfect weight for a little one also since they don't have the strength of adults. Though he's pretty darn strong. Highly recommend these balls.

My son uses these indoors for practicing toss, both with me and also laying on his back and tossing up in the air and catching. I got these because I thought they'd work with the dog-tennis-ball thrower we use to practice your swing, but they are a bit big (I think it's because they ARE soft) and hang in the bowl sometimes. Still these are great for indoors play. They stink a bit at first, but we really like them.

Just perfect for getting the kids playing tennis. The regular balls were just too hard. These are perfect.
