I teach my 10 and 9 year old boy tennis. They have been play for 1 year and have "moved up" to the Gamma Quick 78. Beginners need the extra time to get to the ball and set-up. It develops nice attacking strokes for beginners. I would recommed it for kids and adult who have some tennis training but feel the normal balls are too fast.

We use tennis balls to play fetch with our dogs, and these turned out to be a great buy. Since they aren't filled to the same pressure as regulation balls, they are softer and easier for the dogs to catch (both are senior citizens). They don't bounce as high and aren't as hard on their mouths when they catch them. Nor do they pop when chewed on a bit aggressively. The colorful design make them easy to spot, and they fit perfectly into the Chuck-It ball launcher. Constructed well and don't experience the same fuzz shedding issues as some of the cheaper, in-store brands do. We will definitely repurchase.

Gamma 78 balls are good for young kids who has develop good technique for 76 (full court) size court. It is good option for adults who has started learning tennis or coming back after injury. I like the price on amazon.

The compression is lower than the "green dot" balls used by USTA at their tournaments, so if you practice with these, you're not getting the same feel.

Very soft, very flat, the balls get fluffy after 2 hours gentle hits by a 8 year old girl.

She participates USTA 10U tournaments and official balls are green dot balls. For all the tournaments she participated, those balls are much better than these balls. Be aware, green dot balls can be very different. I hope there is a specification for green dot balls. I bought two bags, and they are useless now after few hour hits.

These balls work exactly as advertised. They are great for kids that are almost ready to move to regular, full speed balls. Other balls we purchased weren't consistent in their bounce and were lobsided at times. The Gamma balls slow the play down just enough to maintain long rallies and build confidence.

I'm an adult advanced beginner. I find these kiddy balls perfect for modified backboard practice in a confined area. The ball comes off the wall slower and won't bounce as wildly as a regular ball. Obviously, if you have the space to use regular balls, don't use these.

My husband was very confused when this package arrived. "Why are there only 12 balls???" I looked up his order online and spent a good 10 minutes laughing at him. They are #78 balls, and come with 12 of them! I am still laughing. Great balls though :)
