This works great to pick up lots of tennis balls quickly. The one I received had handles that were slightly bent out of line and I had to gently push them into 90 degree angles in order for them to align.It doubles as a stand for the balls, but the two small pins don't hold the basket in place very well when it is on the stand. This would be a problem if that was one of the features I used. Executive Summary - great for picking up balls, not too good for a ball stand.

Gamma Ballhopper Nice Design but few design flaws,

The Rollerhopper 150 is probably the best ballhopper out there, with clever design and functionality, however some of the mechanisms do not work as smooth as a regular user would expect them:1. The pins that hold the basket in place in the standing position are not strong enough, so the basket tends to go lose constantly. 2. The plastic leg holders are not designed well, as you need to apply a lot of pressure to lock and un-lock them, making them very hard for a kid to use or even adults. I will contact them to order longer pins for the basket holder. Overall good value but these little imperfections might cause some people to get frustrated and not enjoy it.

Tough choice on "worth it",

I bought a rollerhopper to use with my ball machine. I've been using a standard wire hopper rated for 100 balls and containing about 70. The wire hopper worked fine, but I hate how the handles pop out and didn't like that it feels flimsy, it's hard to collect more than 2 balls at a time & it can get heavy when it gets full (I hold it with my left arm so it doesn't tire my right elbow).The rollerhopper was sent in a BIG box with the handles detached. The Styrofoam they use is inadequate and the box was damaged with loose tape and holes. The Styrofoam busted in pieces so there was lots of tiny pieces of Styrofoam I had to pick up. The rollerhopper was fine -- probably because it's built like a tank. It's very solid. It gives a sense of quality and durability but it's at the price of feeling a bit heavy. I certainly expect that I'll mostly be rolling it where ever I take it rather than picking it up and trying to carrying it. You can detach the handles to make if fit into a smaller space for transport. It works well, but it has a couple of 'minor' problems. 1) if it doesn't catch the ball at the right angle it can shoot the ball away - I carry my racket in one hand to trap any balls that do that, or I can roll it more slowly as I capture a ball to prevent it. 2) Because of it's heft, it doesn't turn on a dime & you can't just pick it up and reposition. It requires a bit of time to maneuver to pick up a group of slightly spaced balls. All in all, I think if I was dealing with less than 75 balls it would easier to use a regular hopper because I can pick it up and sling it around to quickly pick up some balls if I'm hustling. I think the rollerhopper is the better choice for more than 75-100 balls, or if you're not strong enough to pick up a regular hopper with less balls. I think the speed of picking up balls is close. It's faster picking up a line of balls along the fence, but it's a bit slower picking up spaced balls. The rollerhopper might be better for kids because it seems more fun. Because of the quality latches it takes slightly more time to set up and access the balls than a regular hopper. Finally, you look a bit more ostentatious using a rollerhopper but some people will translate that as cool. Durability - I can't speak to that but it looks like it will last. It's expensive - but cheaper than playing golf a few times. 2115|R53UDJE9ENDUK;2115|R1M17TY4177KGS;2115|R6A3QTTWOWRI5;
