5.0 out of 5 stars Fun pellet gun target.
I have been using this squirrel target for several weeks and must have fired over a hundred pellets at it. It works exactly as it should. It goes down when you hit the yellow target and it resets easily with a tug on the line. The line is much longer than I will ever use. Its a very durable line, probably nylon. 3.0 out of 5 stars Entertaining, but needs some modification to be great
This target works as advertised, and provides varying levels of challenge with the adjustable target windows. However, the hardware that the target articulates on has a tendency to fall (or should I say fly) apart. When it does, good luck searching the yard for the parts. An easier solution is to put a regular bolt with a nylock nut on it, problem solved and it...

5.0 out of 5 stars Fun pellet gun target., February 13, 2010

I have been using this squirrel target for several weeks and must have fired over a hundred pellets at it. It works exactly as it should. It goes down when you hit the yellow target and it resets easily with a tug on the line. The line is much longer than I will ever use. Its a very durable line, probably nylon. I put this target about 60' out and don't come close to the max length of the line. At 60' the target is challenging enough without using the reducers. If you are an expert shot or if you want to put the target close you can use the reducers. The smallest reducer is about a 1/4" hole. The squirrel and reducers are made of a nice thick steel. Pellets do not dent the steel but they will take the paint off. The squirrel can be removed and flipped over. I repainted mine once after 100 shots. It takes 10 minutes to disassemble and paint. It is very satisfying seeing the squirrel go down. Way more fun then hitting soda cans.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great target for air rifle practice, April 13, 2010

I shoot air rifle field target competition and this target provides me an opportunity to practice at home. It is very well made and very sturdy. Various aperture adapters are provided to allow you to change the size of the opening and they work well. I have not yet bought the other animal faceplates, but having them available make this target even more versatile. I am not a hunter, but for those who use magnum air rifles to hunt small game, this target would be very valuable in practicing for an actual hunt. I highly recommend this product.

5.0 out of 5 stars Lots of fun!, July 1, 2010

The target is sturdy, built very well and it will last a long time. It works well with high or low velocity guns. It comes with stakes to put it on the ground but I would recommend attaching it to a board for faster and easier setup when you move your target. Some slight assembly is required but it is easy to do.

This is a perfect target, it is loads of fun. The kill zone reducers make it very challenging. I suggest getting the other siloettes for it.

4.0 out of 5 stars Tough little squirrel, April 11, 2011

This squirrel target is a lot of fun. It has held up to some punishment from my Big Cat .22. I wouldn't recommend using Gamo Rocket armor-piercers on it, though. They do leave significant dents in the steel, and I have destroyed the metal ring that connects the line to the front of the squirrel. Fortunately, I was able to replace it with a key ring. My only complaint is that one of the hinge rivets sheared after a few weeks of use. I was able to replace it with a bolt/nut combo though, so it's not a big deal. Overall, this is a fun target to shoot at.

An easier solution is to put a regular bolt with a nylock nut on it, problem solved and it shouldn't fly apart again. With touch-up paint now and then, this target should stand up to a lot of abuse from pellet guns without fail.

4.0 out of 5 stars Nice target...but may not stand up to use, March 21, 2010
This review is from: Gamo Squirrel Field Target w/4 Kill-Zone Reducers (Sports)
This is a very nice target and is really fun to shoot at, when you hit the center it goes down. It is well made, but probably for .177. I have been using it with an air rifle chambered for .22 and in a word it is knocking the heck out of it. After around 200 shots the center reducer was bent so badly that it would no longer stay in place. I was able to bang it back into shape, but not sure how many times that will work. Also every shot takes paint off so after about 30 shots you really could not see any yellow on the target center any longer, so I hve been using day glow center stickers.
