5.0 out of 5 stars Techno Edge and Politically Incorrect
Armand has put out another genre defining/defying set of cuts which are all real tasty. "Why Don't You Free Some Time for Me" is the most commercially accessible with its Daft Punkish techno vocals and anthemic redundancies. Armand's renditon of "Girl You Got Me" also rocks, it is a disturbing blend of house hooks and assaultive vocals.

2.0 out of 5 stars 2 Future 4 You was a FLUKE.
I've purchased both of Van Helden's realeases since 2 Future and they were cut from different cloth (really [bad] cloth at that!). This album has tons of tracks, most of which are stupid "interludes" of Armand joking with his buddies. The joke was on me apparantly - for purchasing this aweful record. The 4-5 actual songs are filled with him rapping, which CLEARLY...

Armand's albums always have a cutting-edge theme not necessarily in synch with the music. Armand's latest manifestation, "Gandhi Khan, the disco Don from Pakistan" was released on October 2 and contains many Middle Eastern music samples and spoofs about the Pakistani rapper. Forget about "Benny and the Jets" or "Bridge over Trouble Waters", this CD gets 6 stars for political untimeliness. I am sure that Armand likes it that way.

4.0 out of 5 stars Great CD, October 21, 2002

This CD, although different from anything else I have heard from Armand, is absoulutley wonderfull. Anybody who can tell me that they have heard something like this before is crazy. This shows the creativity used while having fun making an album. Keep up the good work Armand, We love you

...For the few actual songs it has. I will say this:
I would buy this CD for nothing more than "Why Can't You Free Some Time?". That cut has got me spellbound and I totally love it the way the electric guitar was sampled over and over in a loop ala Trance style. It reminds one of Darude's "Sandstorm" except with a Talkbox-vocals to boot. Call it what you want, that song, if nothing else, is reason enough to buy this CD. And to those other peeps criticising AVH, stop crying! he's an artist - appreciate his work.

The 4-5 actual songs are filled with him rapping, which CLEARLY demonstrates he should stick to spinning the tunes ONLY. I hated "Killing Puritans" but thought Armand deserved a second chance with this album. Guess he's got 2 strikes now.

3.0 out of 5 stars Khan Artist, August 14, 2004

I've never heard about Armand but apparently he's really popular.
As a musician I found it hard to appreciate this cd at first, because all I was hearing was needlessly repetitive loops of the same beats that lasted too long.

After 4 tries I finally found a few songs that I could respect and enjoy. My favorites are Doovoodoo, Kentuckey Fried Flow, Ghandi Khan, and Heed the White Seed.

This CD is unique from anything i've ever been exposed to and it is strange to say the least. My summery of this cd: "Islamic Hard House mixed with Disco"

Requires an open/twisted mind and an appreciation for rap and disco. Otherwise your head might explode. Enjoy!

1.0 out of 5 stars How could this be made?, November 20, 2001
This review is from: Gandhi Khan (Audio CD)
Ok, the only thing good about this cd is the "Why can't you free some time for me" song. All the others were basically Armand being self-indulgent and making tracks for his friends and him to laugh at rather than for us to enjoy. LEts not even touch on how bad armand is at raping. Please Armand, lets just stick with what you do best, making house tunes. More "You dont know me" and Flowerz" and Less "Kentucky Fried Flow". Please Spare us all. No one buy this cd, worst piece of [...] ever put on a disc.
