As the other review mentioned, this adhesive is a must-have for collage-making, or practically any other paper-based art or craft. It is called a "stickflat" glue because you can apply it as thick or as thin as you like and it doesn't cause your paper to buckle and warp as it would under other liquid-based glues and adhesives. The consistency is like a very thick vasoline, and if it begins to harden due to being exposed to open air, sprinkling water drops can re-introduce moisture and restore its potency.

In using it in my own artwork, I find a metal or plastic butter knife to be perfect for applying the paste to the back of my collage scraps, and for cleanup I run the knife under cold water where the yes glue is easily rubbed away with your hand.

Highly recommended and invaluable artist's tool!

Although calling it "glue" is a little misleading -- the product is really more of a paste in a tub - this adhesive does everything it claims! It bonds paper beautifully without wrinkling and stays flexible when dry. It's my first choice for collage, or for mounting paper artwork onto a backing. I also use it for book repairs, and it would be great for scrapbooking. (It's acid-free.)

I highly recommend this glue for use in paper crafts where you will not be applying a glaze over it or there are no plans for the item to get wet. If you spread it thin with a credit card, you can get a great wrinkle-free bond. I have used it on cards, in scrapbooks, in handmade books and for decoupage on wood when I wanted a matte surface and was not applying a glaze. If you apply glaze over it, it might start to wrinkle or peel-off since it is water soluable. Because there is little water in it, you can get a great tack right away, similar to a glue stick. You might think to use it in the same kinds of applications where you'd use a glue stick but want to cover large surfaces quickly and economically. It holds better than a glue stick would.

This is the best adhesive I have used for card making and scrapping! It takes a very little bit to glue down paper objects without crinkling. Hint from a friend: put a small amount in a small container and use out of it to keep the larger container from drying out. She has used the same container for over 2 years and makes cards avidly. Or, do what I did and share with friends! Next time, they will have to buy!

I found out about Yes in a blog and it was highly recommended and touted as a great all-purpose glue. But I have found, just as Yes! says, it is a fine stik-flat glue but not as effective for other projects. My own favorite type of all-round glue is artist- quality acrylic heavy gloss medium. This is is meant for adding texture to artist acrylic paints, but it is a fabulous glue. It's great for collage and effective for mixed-media work as well.

Yes! glue is amazing. I have used it in so many different projects and for so many different things. It's also really easy to clean up as it's water soluble. Just be very careful not to get any on the lid or the grooves on the containter where the lid attaches - it will be very hard to open. I used this on a few paper projects and for adhering some ribbon to glass votives. Worked great in both cases. It dries clear.

I have worked a lot with trying to bind books and found that this is the best glue for the job. It does not leave wavy pages, since it is not that wet. You do have to put it on with a brush and sometimes have to add a little bit of water. Just be aware that the more water you add the watery it will get and it eventually might wrinkle your pages. The glue last and hold a strong bond. I love it!

Fantastic formula for all things Collage. I had been struggling to find a medium to bond paper to paper without dramatic undesired warping and buckling ensuing - the solution is Yes! paste.
The reason it works so well on papers is it's thickness: unlike other gels and mediums there's a low enough liquid content in Yes! paste yet it's very workable / spreadable / applicable: the consistency of Yes! paste is that of a slightly melted glue stick and best of all you can choose any size brush to apply it.
In my experience so far there's a fantastic amount of time the paste remains workable / adjustable before hardening and providing an excellent strong grip - if you spread it thin and evenly enough you'll be achieving Perfect paper bonds. This is something you'll quickly get a feel for.
