Gangs of Pitch - a thriller,
By A Customer
This review is from: Gangs of Pitch (Paperback)
Although I found many grammatical and spelling errors in this book, I still found it an interesting and absorbing novel. With the benefit of a re-write I am sure it will do well. The good guys are likeable and the bad guys are sufficiently evil without overdoing it. There is love interest and a great deal of technical information about oil prospecting which is meaningful to all in the modern world. Brent Lee has produced a veritable host of larger than life characters that will keep the reader guessing as to their true intent. The unexpected "hero" comes in the form of a white Tiger. The finale is action packed and breathless with all the energy that one would expect from a James Bond story. I enjoyed this book.

It takes guts to write in the second language. A unique first novel with a bestseller potential.

action-adventure in the South China Sea!,
By Andrew (Georgia) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gangs of Pitch (Paperback)
What brought the Vietnam veteran, Mr. Gebler, to the South China Sea is oil. And he discovers the mother lode in the Spratlys. Pure fiction. It has not happened yet. But this is a novel that everyone must read. Buy this book.

I like it when Lorel DeRoman dibulged her citizenship in the climax. That is superb. And China remains a friend. A must read novel! Get your copy now.

Watch for the iUniverse.com edition!,
By "rover143" (Everywhere) - See all my reviews
This review is from: Gangs of Pitch (Paperback)
New edition coming in March 2000. Gangs of Pitch is a cross-cultural first fiction. A must read new novel. Fast action, never bored me, plots collides with each other! I could see Mel Gibson in the picture drilling oil in the Spratlys, entangled with a Spanish-Chinese-Filipino heiress. The entry of the United States and the United Nations into the flash point is a great cinematic bust. Hollywood must pay attention! This is a future blockbuster! Watch it out! But read it first...

Nobody can stop this book!,

I am waiting for the new package from iUniverse.com. This may not be something like Gone With the Wind or The Godfather, but Gangs of Pitch could storm the market. This is my "cover-to-cover" affair with Brent Lee. Finish that next book, Brent.
