I purchased this as a means to reminisce, because I used to roll deep with a crew full of G's. I got out because my baby mama was givin' me grief. She was worried about me not being there one day, she wanted me to bring it proper, walk the straight and narrow. Anyway, this is the heat. Any book that lets you experiment with Biggy and Nas's wardrobe in different shades of blue is aight in my book. I bought it for every kid in my sunday school class. I found out a few weeks later that they hit the corner in their low low and beat their first trick. I heard they're in the market for firearms without serial numbers now. I'm so proud of all of them. It's good knowing I've helped another generation learn how to skate on haters who perpetrate.

Buy this book, leave it right out on the coffee table during a party or visitors, and watch the hilarious reactions. The conversation over the great pages of rappers usually turns into a lively debate on who was the greatest rapper of all time. They are all in here: Biggie, Pac, KRS One, Cube, 50 Cent... about 40 in all. Just be sure to hide it sometime during the party, or you'll wake up the next day and find someone has colored-in your DMX. GREAT BOOK!

Elias is my friend, he got me this for Christmas. I love that you can choose your own colors, you know, so I can "represent' with whatever colors I choose. Now I can 'keep it real" in my living room.

Obviously a very amusing gift. My friend loved it. I was at first considering buying one for my two-year-old nephew, more or less for his mother's amusement, but I am glad I didn't. Aside from harmless images of guns, the book does contain some adult language, and Brotha Lynch Hung looks like he might be frightening to a two-year-old.

Nonetheless, this is a great gift for an adult, whether they like to color or not. My friends and I actually sat down and colored a bit while we were stuck out of town and bored, and I found it oddly relaxing. Coincidentally, my other friend on the trip got me a gag gift; a My Little Pony coloring book and a box of 96 crayons. Lots of fun was had. Afterwards, I went full-on pre-school and took a nap.

Anyway, I don't regret this purchase, and I'm glad I decided not to get it for my nephew.

No, wait, I'm being sarcastic. This is a great novelty gift for preschoolers. No, no, I meant for hip cynical adults. Yeah, that's it.

While I do understand how some parents might be infuriated by the concept and graphics depicted in this coloring book, I think it's very clear that this isn't meant for children, nor aimed toward children, directly or indirectly. I recently turned 19 and heck, I'm still a big fan of coloring books. For those who said that no adults use coloring books, or own crayons and such-- you're wrong! Look throughout Amazon, there are tons of coloring books featuring intricate designs, humorous images, etc. that are created solely for mature audiences. I see no wrong in embracing my inner child through coloring. It's therapeutic as well. I'm a huge fan of rap music in it's entirety so I was really pumped to find a coloring book that showed some of my favourite artists. Some may feel the graphics depicted are far too explicit, but that's just keeping true to the entire gangster rap culture. I admire how the author, and artist didn't sugar coat the rugged nature of gangster rap.

All in all, this is definitely a keeper!!

I bought the "Gangsta Rap Coloring Book" for my brother for Christmas as a gag gift. Then I picked up some crayons at the local drugstore. Not bad for around $10. He loved. I loved it. Actually everyone laughed when they saw it. Then everyone wanted to take turns picking out someone they knew and wanted to color in (Eazy-E, 2Pac, MC Ren, Ice Cube, Geto Boys, 50 Cent, DMX, etc.).

This coloring book would be great for a party. Coloring is always fun, even as a grown-up. It's even funner/ funnier when you're coloring in gangsta rappers.

The only complaint I did have is that a few of the rappers are not really well-known (what or who is "Gingerbread Man"?). Also, another reviewer mentioned that the details are quite minimal on the drawings, and while that is true, it doesn't take away from the fun.

Overall, a lot of fun for a great price. Definitely recommended.

I bought my husband this coloring book for Christmas as a bit of a gag gift. It is sitting on our coffee table now and is a great conversation piece. We are entertained by the entire thing. If you want a funny gift to give just about anyone, except children, get it. Great humor.
