The arc that begins in this volume, I find is much better than the previous two. Oku's CG environments are much more detailed, and the action shots are drawn and framed much better. We also finally get some characters who aren't completely worthless, and even the apathetic Kurono starts to show development. This volume also includes a short extra in which Oku talks briefly about the influences of his favorite Hollywood films.

Definitely check it out.
