Just like Vol 1, It Ain't Garage Rock,
By
This review is from: Garage Band Christmas - Volume 2 (Audio CD)
Don't be misled by the inclusion of The Shadows of Night or one of the guys from Vanilla Fudge. The majority of songs here are far from "garage rock". Some Blues, some odd talking-heads-ish reggae, some country.
Like I said on my review of Volume One, don't be misled by the drooling, bulging-eyed Hot-Rod monster on the cover. You'll be disappointed if you're looking for low-fi fuzz, hard-banging beats, and raucously shouted lyrics. Hasil Adkins would be snoring in his grave if he heard this. You're better off buying the Little Steven Underground Garage compilation

ok track one( Celebrate Chicago) by The Shadows Of Knight sounds a little like a tourism ad for Chicago..lol
track two Vince Martell is a cool song about Xmas in The The Bronx ( Bronx Christmas Blues) next up is Joey Molland of Badfinger with "King Of Kings" track 4 is THE BEST ..NAZZ "Rasta Santa"..like a Bob Marley Xmas.. track 5 Glen Burtnk ( of SYTX & ELO) "Winter Wonderland" next 3 tracks are all good ( by Lee Brovitz of The Shadows Of Knight, Wooden Hobo & Albert Carey of Mick Ronson Band) Another killer track is SHAKERTOWN BLACKHAWKS "Doncha Know It's Christmas"..this is as Garage as it comes and finish up with THUNDER ROAD's "Drummer Boy" Great buy for the $$$$
